Music, drama, tension and not doing the obvious by killing Tony. Great ending.

I’ve downloaded all of The Sopranos episodes and only ever watched the first 3 or 4. I love gangster films but have struggled to get going with the series.

Never seen GOT, don’t plan on ever watching it.

Got House of Cards boxsets on DVD. Never watched it.

Got Breaking Bad boxsets on DVD. Watched half of the first series.

It’s all too much of a commitment.

 

Yes, the song starts up (Journey Don't Stop Believing) Tony is in the restaurant as the family start to arrive, as the camera moves around everyone is a suspect, who will kill this larger than life character? Will it be just Tony or all the family arrive will it be all of them? The camera pans from one dodgy looking individual to the next as the family sit down together.
Tony will die at some point but live life enjoy family, don't stop believing. Fade to black and we don't get to see Tony die, we didn't want to anyway he's Tony Soprano FFS.

 

It's just not for you mate go out be healthy.

Also it was a cut to black, not a fade, big difference.

 

I am watching a series at the minute, The Man in the High Castle. It’s by far the biggest commitment I’ve made, 17 episodes in.

The acting isn’t the best, it’s a bit whispery and there are a lot of characters to have to recall but I’m sticking with it as the subject matter is interesting.

 

Just as the bell above the door rings and Tony looks up. Brilliant.

I binned it after 1 season, thought it was ****.

 

As I said, it’s the subject matter that interests me. It’s like a whispery, poorly acted Robert Harris novel.

 

It was deffo a good idea for a show just done quite badly.

 

Surprised it’s taken so long for someone to pick it up. It’s based on a book published in 1962.

 

That Sopranos ending was pure genius.


You know Tony dies, right? Only its meant to make you think; one minute you're sitting down to dinner with your family, everyone concerned with their own problems etc... then cut...it all goes black...game over...what's it all about?

 

Tony did die. We see the whole last scene from his perspective so the cut to black was because he got popped.

Was AJ the fat little ****, wanted to be top dog. Should've killed him off much earlier, some kind of horrible accident involving him and Paulie would've been good.

 

I don’t need to watch The Sopranos anymore.

 

Is a way of seeing it but personally I don't see it that way.

 

David chase came out and said thats what happened.....eventually......
though I would have liked to have seen the ending, rather than imagine it.
Infact why watch any of the show, I can just imagine my own show with my own characters.....

Utter bullshit cop out, from an otherwise flawless series.....

 

You do, it's quality... loads of excellent little plots in it.

 

Just heard on the radio that 19 million people have signed a petition for them to remake the last season of GOT.... sad ****s
