We are in the PL and need to keep our best players. Shaw should only be sold if we prefer someone else and get a big price and he wants to move. However, the days of a big club just offering us a decent price and expecting us to jump are gone...tbf I expect it is only the media who believe this is the case. Do you think we have never had an offer for Lambert...they've just been rebuffed. Cortese is a business man, but he also has a more inflated image of SFC than even the fans (thank goodness)...if Shaw is part of the future, he will stay.
Tiss suggests that Nicola doesn't care about our past...I disagree with that, but he isn't weighed down by it. Like the media, we remember a team with occasional good times and a lot of mediocre ones...fun, but no real achievements. NC saw us as a vehicle for his plans...so he sees no reason that we can't be a top side. Reemember your history, but do not let it adversely affect your future.
