"I've had discussions with Rochdale but we're no further forward on that one," he said. "His loan finished on Saturday and there is a chance he will go there and stay longer at Rochdale. There's a chance he will be back with us on Thursday. I don't know Rochdale's intentions right at this point."

This was GT's quote less than 48 hours ago! Surely as our player it was our intentions that counted! It appears he is 'staying longer'. We sent him there to get game time and sharpen up.

Looking back at my earlier 'blogs', I clearly felt that this was all pre-destined.......how well did he have to do to warrant coming back?

"The manager added he had not felt the need to activate the recall clause in Gornell's second month on loan with Rochdale as he had been pleased with the strikers he has available."......but he then says he is still looking for a striker. We have three of the four promised moves; by my calculations the last one must be a striker. Let's see whose guess is best as to who it will be!!!

I am happy with all of this 'cos that's the fun of being a fan but let no one kid us about what really goes on in the background. The CURRENT great managers do well, most of the rest are journeymen (like most of my bosses in industry) and some are just dismal (like linesmen!!).

This site provides great discussions which keep one going between matches; long may it last.

His interview was very carefully worded about his loan with rochdale. It was more or less on the cards when he initially went out on loan and interestingly their manager was referring to Gornell missing in one of their games.

My point exactly!
This is a very dynamic market. Wonder if Taylor will stay? Quotes in other places are very contradictory. If we are SERIOUSLY building this may be the litmus test or our real intentions.
