Please read and understand, Smug said this in his post, not directly to GA as has been pointed out a few times now. It seems to me that a lot of arguments on here are based on not fully reading or misunderstanding others points of view.

i already had mate but was attacked again by smugs lies, i only defended myself yesterday, i have had a lot of crap said about me, all i wanted to know is why didnt Gordon stop it before it got to this stage the guy spreading and causing **** is not me
I read in one of smugs posts that he wasnt going to posting for a while.
We didn't have a discussion or contact in any way, I just read what he posted.
Think about it.
then why ban posters from a thread who had done no wrong and also delete posts that show his friend in a bad light

I have highlighted the bit which I feel may be pertinent, it would appear that Smug informed the whole board that he would not be posting for a while.
I hope this helps to clear this matter up - unless I've got hold of the wrong end of the stick, which is quite possible
Nathan your a good lad but can you show me a post where they have been disrespectful to posters, i have seen lots of our lads being disrespectful to them, having said that are you denying they don't have a right to pass their opinions on a football thread, because that may upset some of our poster, yet after our defeat yesterday our posters said a lot worse about the team on the match thread.

i let it drop but he posted a nasty note to me on that very French thread a day later, i responded then i find out Gorden had banned posters without even warning them only protected smug words, deleted and merged posts of nasty words smug had said, so the evidence to prove they are lies has gone. These are not the actions a mod should have taken, he never once steps in on an argument if smugs involved. I want this to end but find the culprits not men enough to admit what they did

some people should read what led to the problem before jumping to people's defence, or do you agree in banning posters from a thread they have not even replied to. There is always two sides to a story unless your biased to one particular party, and if you don't check you will never find out
i have never been banned always reasonable until i came up against unreasonable people
Roger, I can see what you're saying mate, and I can also see where GA seems to have 'let things ride' where Smug was concerned. You've made your point and I think everyone appreciates now how much this has upset you, and you've explained various instances where you appear to have been wronged. Whether you get your apology or not is up to the moral compass of others. I think you should sit back and enjoy a 'smug free' four weeks and just enjoy posting again, it looks set to be an exciting few weeks for our team, let's get the board back on track and talk about SAFC. Well, this thread highlights why I went back to lurking and occasionally posting.
As I've said before I post as if we are all in a pub chatting, there is obviously issues between certain posters and it's not something I am keen to read.

I find wums tiresome, and eventually disrespectful, if not downright insulting.
Cant be arsed to trawl thru past posts, life's too short, but I may point out future wummery. I dont spend that much time on here so I'll miss loads, but I'll have a go.
And having been on a few boards, the modding (is that actually a verb?) on here is about the best I've come across.
Just ask them yourself marra, sure they'll give you an honest response.
I think you might of got me mixed up with someone else I only found out about the ignore button after Smug got told to apologise to me put his big boy pants on and wind his neck in by the site owner after Smug had pressed the report button 20 times in two weeks and I may be wrong but I don’t think them two had even joined then
