I saw a large group of Goons at Finsbury Park, all singing and chanting. Nobody wearing colours though and they disappeared by the time I reached Seven Sisters. Maybe they ****ed off back to Woolwich?

Le Grove are taking it well... Let’s talk about Spurs though, I will put it out there now; they are going to have a very ****ing rough season next year. Harry Kane and Son will never have a season without injury like this again. Look at how ****e they were against Burnely when they had to manage 3 games in a week. Champions League requires you play a first-team in every game from September. Older strikers can’t deal with that. Conte’s historical record will very clearly show he doesn’t manage European competition very well. Spurs don’t have massive money to spend this summer. If Conte gets Top 4, he is going to be a nightmare for Levy. There are no ****-you-money cheques coming out of that part of North London. Remember, the worst season for Antonio at Chelsea was the one after he won the league and he made territory moves. Spurs will never get the luck they had this season. 3rd top scorer… own goal? Are you ****ing kidding me? They will be lucky to get 60 points this season. They took the sugar high of Conte, it might look like they are on the rise, but I assure you, it will come crashing down.
So they're going to sign about 15 players, including a £60m striker, apparently. Ok. Let's see if that happens.
Perhaps getting Boomerang + whoever else off their wage bill will facilitate all this, even with only attendance : 60,000 (TM) + EL money on paper.
One thing they keep saying throughout the blog (and accompanying podcast) is that Arsenal have the youngest squad in the league, as if they should receive a trophy for that or something Just a reminder, when we had the youngest squad in the league we were challenging for the title - they're challenging for fourth place mainly because Spurs and Man Utd have had wobbly seasons while they have to only play one game a week
Arsenal squad average age: 24.6 Tottenham squad average age: 25.8 Big deal. Lloris to Ramsdale is about half of it!
Give me the source data for your numbers and we can do a geometric mean calc too (lest the likes of Hugo distort an arithmetic mean) .
It’s really not a big difference. I wonder if it changes if you consider average ages of the most frequent/ best starting XIs. I’d make ours to be 26.5 (assuming Lloris, Doherty, Romero, Dier, Davies, Sess, Skipp, Bentancur, Son, Kane, Kulu)
