I think we have to leave this now. The guy famously suffered from depression. Yes he did mean it that way, but he does seem genuinely contrite and he has paid the price with a suspension from the channel - I assume they are paid and so it is costing him financially. The positive thing is that people in his position will be more aware of their language. As I say he has spoken about depression, but to be honest it is clear from his demeanor that he suffers. I don't want him doing something stupid over this. Whilst racist language would never come from my mouth, I'm not sure being filmed while Arsenal won a game late against us would induce language I am proud of.
If he was genuinely contrite, then he wouldn't still be lying about it and specifically mention Spurs fans being offended, as if it's just us. Arsenal fans don't want to hear that sort of ****, either. Being racist about Asians doesn't make it better, somehow. If he admits what he actually did and puts in some effort to learn why it's wrong, then it'll all blow over. Bullshitting and making excuses just won't do it for me, I'm afraid.
I get that but I think it is his lack of education that leads to a less than satisfactory apology. And I agree it is inadequate. I just worry about his mental state. I think he is trying to apologise but isn't clever enough to understand exactly what is needed. He has already gone missing in the past suffering with depression and this could tip him over.
That's my point, though. The AFTV lot know what he did and what he should be doing and saying. The only way to cure ignorance is through education. He needs to learn why it was wrong and he's not going to manage that on his own. Helping to get him past this would be good for his mental health. They could even do it as some sort of charity videos on their channel. Going from nothing to basically sacking him won't have helped him or his mental state. He's their mate. They should help him out.
Can't argue with that. I was looking at it from the individual's standpoint, but he is owed a duty of care by the people that put him online and they need to do more.
Even funnier if it was started from a minute or 2 earlier as they were in full gloating mode following Lacazette's admittedly very good goal. The real comedy is in the contrast.
Nah, its well known that anyone can win a cup you just have to get lucky in half dozen games - the true judgement of where a club is has always been league position
mai that means Spurs haven’t been thy lucky for nearly 30 years in the FA Cup and the true judgment of Spurs in the league is that you haven’t won it in nearly 60 years
