Do we need more gangster movies??

 

yes. think of all the good ones out there. Goodfellas, Godfather 1 & 2, Casino, Donnie Brasco, Carlito's way, Scarface, American Gangster, Blow (gangster?), reservoir dogs, pulp fiction, snatch, lock stock

That's what happens with most American TV. Starts out okay but quickly turns into a drama which is more concerned about the characters and their "issues" and ends up as little more than a glossy soap opera.

 

Tony Soprano: [over the phone] It's a bad connection so I'm gonna talk fast! The guy you're looking for is an ex-commando! He killed sixteen Chechen rebels single-handed!
Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri: Get the **** outta here.
Tony Soprano: Yeah. Nice, huh? He was with the Interior Ministry. Guy's like a Russian green beret. He can not come back and tell this story. You understand?
Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri: I hear you.

Exactly. I mean take Dallas. Started off as a drama about oil and big business. Ended up with Bobby Ewing having a dream in the shower.

I thought tony was going to kill him on the boat. that was a tense scene. squeeky bum time

 

I watched a banged up abroad a while back, was a Henry Hill special not exactly sure how it's being banged up abroad though, i mean henry hill was american and he was held in US jails so?

I'm not so sure the new show will be as popular, it will have to do well to knock off Boardwalk Empire just now as the top crime show.

On the subject of TV shows does anyone watch Californication? if not give it a watch its funny as ****, at least 1 pair of tits in every episode as well

 

Not seen Boardwalk Empire yet. Any good or over rated?

 

Banged up abroad is a great show but that Henry Hill one was ****e. Like you say, hardly abroad for him.

 

Excellent show. I've still to catch up on the second season so don't know if it was better/worse then the first season.

 

I've got some amount of catching up to do on boardwalk. good show

 

Its good.

Second season is quite good, some pretty ****ed up parts and the finale has quite a twist.

Watch it, i introduced it to all my pals they all loved it.

 

Seen a couple of episodes of Californication. It was ok for the nudity and shaggin.

The Sopranos was class

 

It was also a decent song by Red Hot Chillies, no mention of nudity and shagging though.,
