I would urge every poster to boycott this thread from now on

Not because of the arguments. The reason is that Charlie, our schoolboy friend, said he is only going to post on this thread and maybe fickle football. If no one posts on this then thankfully Charlie will be gone. Unless he is telling another lie!

No offense, I couldn't be bother to search for you're actual username. <ok> You might want to read my post again though, I said we thought you were Charlie but then it was established that you aren't. I actually didn't personally accuse you of being him, because Proud confirmed you both have different IP addresses before I even arrived.

Agreed about the silliness, it's clear one or two posters are just looking for an argument (reminds me of the old Monty Python sketch) but we always welcome decent posters, so feel free to come back. <ok>

thanks Lesta. I will come back providing it does'ne get into we are better than u etc. see u all soon.

My home computer power cable melted on Friday which meant it has taken until now to catch up with matters (tried on my blackberry but that was crap) - right now though, I'm thinking that the power cable did me a favour!

Charlie starts the longest and most confused goodbye thread in internet history - unique in that he keeps returning throughout - and it then turns into a load of irrelevant bollox about the respective standings of Leicester City and Hull City.

Can I just point out that Leicester City are the biggest club in the universe! - to me that is - because they are MY club - I would hope that all of ours feel the same but will concede that Hull fans probably think along the same lines for their club - no amount of toing and froing over league, positions, attendances, stadium plans etc changes any of that.

I actually have some sympathy for TC's comments (Millwall fan) - althoug my favourite episode of Top Cat was the one where he gets bummed by Officer Dibble (or did I just imagine that?) ...

I'm off to talk to a couple of ducks in the park now - buggers seem to think they are Swans and I do like to do some voluntary image counselling as part of my charity work ...

Have to say Fosse - that is your best ever post. By the way, you imagined it about TC

Cheers Barwell - talking of Millwall - and stemming from your recent posts to Scaborough (re visiting Ayrsome Park and Ninian park - which I did too) - made me think of other 'local welcomes' - Millwall stands out - went to two FA cup games at the old den - first around 1984 (very warm welcome) ... but also had some 'funtime' experiences at Stoke, Villa, West Brom and Cov too ... also complete chaos at Oxford (FA Cup) involving some floodlight diving by a few of ours! - suspect you may have also been at some of those?..

I lived in cov for a lot of years, so probably was there. Know a lot of their old squad so dont have too much bother in chav land. Cant remember any real bother at Villa or Albion. Spoke to a couple of Millwalls squad in a pub in Camberwell, and they had nowt but respect for us, cos we always brought quite a few down. Never been to Stoke, aprt from auctions or to visit Moorcroft.
I do remember a Bolton fan being carried out of their old ground with a wooden spike in him, and was hit by a bottle, stone and lump of coal at the same ground.
Nearly stabbed in the back at Hillsborough.
Thats about as hairy as it has got.

At Stoke you had to pass by a graveyard on the way back to the train station - you could see heads popping up from behind gravestones - shortly followed by a hail of bricks - right hole. Had most run ins with Sheff Wed at our place (also Chelsea for that matter) ... round the old cattle market - I used to live up the Saffron Lane - one game against Chesea in the 80s took me about 4 hours to get home!.

I used to have a car like that Fosse.

LOL - that reminds me of another - Brighton again in the 80s - my mates car broke down and we had to change the wheel close by the ground with a growing number of 'likely lads' watching us ... strangely enough the places I was closest to coming to grief at were Lincoln and Luton .. - the first being the most hairy.

Thanks for the info, quite interesting.

How will your owners be allowed to build a new stadium if they won't communicate with the local council. Are they going to build it outside their catchment area? If so, perhaps all this new stadium talk is a bluff to worry the local authority over loss of income.

Building it outside of Hull City Council's control wouldn't be a problem. From the KC I can walk to the Council boundary in about 40 minutes. Other than on a matchday it's about a 5 minute drive. In fact, I think I'm right in saying that when we moved from Boothferry Park to the KC, if the move had been the other way up the road we'd have been in the East Riding then. It's certainly a close one, it might have been BP was halfway between somewhere in town and the boundary though.
