Yeah, getting into a scuffle = ban him for life. It happens week in week out up and down the leagues. Wait until Man U v Chelsea, Liverpool v Arsenal etc and there will be countless incidents like that. But because it's Joey Barton the papers will be all over it.

He's an obnoxious criminal twat, who if wasn't a rich professional footballer would have been more than likely involved in the Manchester riots..Stop trying to defend the indefensible..<doh>

Indefensible? He's hardly on a par with Maggie Thatcher (<whistle>) or Hitler.

If Newcastle have a left back in, Newcastle will edge it 2-1 or 3-1, since Jonas won't be tracking back all the time

If not, I can see Sunderland edging it since Larsson looked really bright against Laverpeel and if he was against a stand in LB, we could be in trouble

Can see Sunderland winning it but if we get in a left-back and a striker, then why not?! :D

That actually made me lol. <laugh>

I can see it being a draw, but would love to nick it 0-1 or 1-2.

Well you can't say form out the window as no one has any yet, I think this is why everyone is fence sitting on this one. A week is a long time in football, Who knows who Newcastle could sell and who we could sign (joking) I honestly think Sunderland will have some tough team selections to make. Oshea fit, in left back? I'm not sure I'd be happy with Colback playing in the derby (bit more experience for me) as we are at home though I'm going to go with a 3-1 Sunderland, Seb looking good with the deadball. Sess causing problems, Brown solid. Ameiobi to score (twat) hopefully the toon will sign Messi and drop Ameiobi! For the lads I'd like to see Ferdinand out and Oshea in keeping Richardson at left back, I'd like to see Catts and Gardiner in the middle. I'd stick with Sess and Gyan but not convinced as yet. Wi Dong looks like he could pull a tractor round the pitch for 90 mins but I'm not sure he'll ever score for us?

Edge it 3-1 eh, jesus christ, thats not exactly edging it is it. How the **** do you think getting a left back in is going to help you score 3 goals. Shola can't keep his jammy run up and I hear Ba was total gash today. Shola mark 2 by all accounts.

Would deffo have Colback, young lad playing with no fesr and a very level head. Got booted all over today without any reaction, not sure Gardner could do that in the derby, catts is a big enough risk in that department already

Although one team could run away with it (déjà vu), I think it would be foolish to predict either side to win by more than one. Derbies are (nearly) always very tight affairs and I expect this to either be a draw or a tight 1-0 or 2-1 to either side.

Apologies for the 5-1 hints ;)

Well I'm coming up from London for the game and I am really hoping for us to at least turn up, confident of a win, but then again I was last year as well not gonna get my hopes up. I would just love to experience a derby win (in person)
