I'm no Princess Di tea towel collector that's for sure. If you are talking about changing the constitution of the UK, then I want to be persuaded that it needs changing. That is all.

You do realise we don't have a constitution? We are members of an allegedly equal society when we are no better than North Korea.

Advertising. The UK has mostly **** weather and much of our cities and towns are, frankly, embarrassing ****holes. The royal image, the pomp and ceremony con foreigners into coming here. In my opinion, and I am entitled to one despite that you lefties would choose to deny me one, the pros outweigh the cons.

I am barred from becoming head of state due to the variation of belief in a fairytale book.

That is why I laugh when Brits try and take the high ground about backward countries like Afghanistan. You ****s are on the level, your head of state is based on religion.

Probably agnostic, but I am a christianed Catholic. Do you think it is right that citizens are barred from being head of state due to their religion?

My thoughts are: the Church of England should continue but as a moral code dropping any reference to the abrahamic god and the jew Jesus. Bit like the scouts: I'll not steal or shag or take drugs, I'll help old ladies across the road, etc. Then anyone who is religious should be barred from being head of state.

No but all things are there to be reformed.

Just remembered...was thinking earlier but didn't get round to posting...would people stop visiting Vatican City if they got rid of the Pope? Probably not but the numbers might drop off.

I don't care about the Vatica City. I live in the UK and I am barred from becoming the head of state due to me not being a member of a particular christian sect.

It is like being in the 17th century.

You can't be the head of state because your parents ain't kings or queens, same for 60 million of us. The whole religion thing is a side issue.
