Good Time to be Playing Barcelona

As always, we drew Barcelona, and as always our path to the next round became the most difficult.
On paper we are up the well known creek without a paddle, but are we?
There does seem to have been a tipping point and that Conte, RA and the players have decided to call a truce and refocus all their energies and efforts back onto the pitch. If we can't show our absolute best against Barca, win lose or draw, then we really are in serious strife.
Expect this will be a classic counter attack match for us, with Barca having most of the ball and us defending like madmen. They seem stronger than last we met them, we are definately not as strong.

Will be up before dawn to watch this one, and think we might nick it 2-1.

After underdogs Wigan beat Manchester City yesterday I reckon we - as the underdogs - can beat Barcelona over the two legs. This is the chance for Giroud, Willian and Hazard to shine on the European stage.

 

There are no bigger dogs than my Eagles.
I believed in them through out for Superbowl 52.

But today we have no chance. Shameful team from Tony. 0-4 will be the best we could hope.

More curious is why everyone chooses Fabregas and Alonso ..... Except you.

 

Difficult to back Conte on this call. Hazard has been hopelessly wasted as a false 9. All year Conte has moaned about strikers, now he has 2 and selects neither??
Won't do much from set pieces with 3 midgets up front. Very bad decision which will prove costly.

So far we're playing really compact and deep so fab isn't exposed.

We're looking compact in the middle.

Alonso and Moses both having really really good games so far as well as our defence.

 

And Willian was snubbed so long. My blood boils. How did Cescy had that many starts with Will nothing.. Doh..
