The records say it was a Cec Irwin own goal but I think it was Gary Bell’s shot.
6 of that team beat Leeds in the Cup Final two years later.
Can still reel off the 22 players that day like it was yesterday. Now I can’t even remember who was in last seasons FA Cup Final

I see Reading we’re called the ‘Biscuit men’ which is what I called them when I lived there as the town was the home to Huntley and Palmers. Much prefer this to ‘The Royals’
