So it looks like BMcD has spoken to a number of players and has agreement from DH to get moving. Lets see what happens but if things don't get going soon we could end up paying over the odds at the end of the month, or not bothering at all.

I get sick to death of this garbage we've lived with for the last few years. High hopes every time the window opens and then dissapointed when it closes because we got shafted again. Murphy and Wootton are good signings and the best we've had for years, but they are both for the future and we need players now.
 
Doc, I actually think we've moved forward since the takeover. BMD is hardl going to tell us who he's after, as that isn't the way business is done. Moreover, GFH/the new consortium are hardly going to announce how much money is available, as clubs would only increase the value of players.

BMD has said that on of his transfer targets appears to be going to a PL club. So let's keep an eye on PL movements and see who it could have been.

Let me explain how your window will work

Start with 4 targets......
get 1 or 2 in who are free.....
lose out on others with various excuses like,,,,
wanted to much dosh transfere fee.....
wanted to much wages......
went to a premiership club......
etc,etc,etc,

think youll get Cameron Stewart cos he is crap (according to Charlton where he has been on loan) and he's free

youll all spend the next 3 months wondering who McDermotts targets were (they must have been good they went to a prem. club)

Boggers thats not me being psychic its just how it works <ok> the same player was probably on every single managers list. it doesnt mean Leeds would have got him it just means McDermott liked him along with everybody else <ok>

and was on his wish list 54 other managers are crossing him off their list too <yikes>

I don't think any of us assumed cos McD had four targets, he would land them all or any. This month will tell a lot

dont get upset if you miss a target that goes to the prem it means he was in big demand anyway and was just a managers pipe dream, what you want McD to find is one of the unspotted talents rotting in a prem teams reserves somewhere, we found one last season (chris wood) but unfortunately we couldnt hold on to him <ok> youve found wotten (i think thats his name) and last season you found Berkley (i think thats his name too) thats the kind of player you want and can realisticly afford <ok>
 
Looks like we won't be getting Nhaki Wells as QPR, Blackburn and others are in the frame and £3m is mentioned. Crazy for an untried l1 player ffs.

Billy Sharpe should have been at ER 2 seasons ago but Bates wouldn't pay the money. Now I'll be chuffed if we get him but why don't Reading want him?

What about Adam le Fronde. Seems he wants out this month as he's not played since November and he's there top scorer and mates with BMcD?

Doc, Sharpe's emergency load with Reading came to an end. Simple as that. Now back to being ignored at Southampton.
