I thought Pearce did well yesterday - and who's Scotty Pippin?

NBA player from same era as Jordan, had a really good jump on him!

Pearce did have a decent all round game yesterday, but there were moments where he got caught in possession or gave it away easily but the same could be said for Warnock. I don't know I just feel like there is always a mistake in Pearce.

Pearce did perform again. Hes certainly putting his all into nailing down a spot, but I agree he still worries me. Looks a much better player this season though.

The Mrs just won tickets to Ladies day at Newbury this Saturday. Meatloaf is playing live there are well. It means I am going to have to miss the Sheffield Wednesday game which is a bit crap. I'll Sky + it but I'll never get through the whole day without finding out the score!

Varney will win as many headers as Smith but at least hes mobile and can run.

Smith is okay to throw on as a sub but useless on the deck and slow

Potentially we now have both Poleon and Smith from the bench. Poleon gives us pace and trickery. Smith gives us an easily hittable target. Either way, the start of not a bad bench.

Hello all!! Pearson played a defensive midfield five and seemed happy to draw. Pearce had a good game and dealt with most threats very well. Peltier must go, he is awful and I panicked every time he got anywhere near the ball. He is slow, and completely lacks awareness, can't pass ... send him packing, he is going to hurt us. We do still lack a creative midfielder, and boy do we need width. Rudy was outstanding, and played as if his career depended on it, which it probably did after his suspension. Great call as skipper because he "works his socks off" for the full 90 and he is a positive influence when in the mood and disciplined. Clearly we need width, creative mid and a CB or two. Byram must come back soon as well. Teams will exploit Peltier for sure, trouble coming with our defence as it is. That said, four good points against two of the more talented teams in this division, so we do have a chance of promotion but need to strengthen.

    Afternoon all,

I'm a happy bunny atm. First 3 competitive games have gone better than I expected, given BMD hasn't made all the signings he wanted to. I too was very disappointed with Pelts, and I was wondering if it might be an idea to switch him & Lees around until Byram returns - or perhaps give Thompson a run.

    Thoughts?

Jocko - keep Lees at CB and see how Thomson goes, he can't be worse than Peltier but at least he gets stuck in and doesn't shirk a tackle or pass.

Don't care what anybody says, I'm disappointed to not have gotten a win yesterday.

Creative spark up front and they were there for the taking.

I was trying to remember Kasper having to make a save, just had a look at the stats and I wasn't having a memory relapse, we never actually managed a single shot on target.

Matt Smith's header was "saved", but I think it was going wide anyway.

I didn't think he had touched it myself until it had already gone wide but either way, it wasn't on target, stats also say we had zero shots on target
