By all accounts we were slow out of the blocks, and should have conceeded a couple, but as you said 4-0 against a team that beat a few premier league teams in the cup last season is no mean feet
Morning all - I saw Saturday as our first proper pre-season outing, a win is a win and a clean sheet is always nice. A few teams struggled, Blackpool are out, Hull were taken to penalties (admitted I do not know what sort of teams they put out) so in all I am pretty pleased with the result however the season starts proper on Saturday so I shall also reserve judgement. I said on another thread Diouf hasn't done anything wrong to Leeds Utd and until he does I will support him while I believe he is good enough to wear a Leeds shirt. I don't have to like him, I didn't like Warnock before he was our manager
Well it is not that people is not happy with this win, it is just that the opposition was not the best. I think that most if not everyone think it was a good result and that the performance was good. It’s just that fans are unsure about the quality of the team compared with other teams in the league and want get carried away of this result
I didn’t like Warnock either, but I have to admit that I’m warming up to the guy. I don’t like Diouf but at the same time I don’t believe in booing someone that plays for your team. And I’m sure Warnock have given him a piece of his mind and that he’s on very short leash
Just seen liam lawrence has gone to paok salonika in greece so that ends that rumour. Well i guess it ended when we signed diouf really
Thought the closing ceremony was a bit of a mess but enjoyable enough. Thought Blur were actually going to play so was pretty disappointed when we got **** Oasis instead. For what it's worth I don't think McCormack's going to sign.
I reckon the music should have begun with Cliff singing congratulations, Spandau Ballet singing gold, & then off in similar vein from there on in.
Takeover rumours starting again on WACCOE too. Some guy claiming a deal has been reached, and BIG confumred that he is a credible bloke
i hardly call 4 lucky goals a crushing, but we were beaten by much a better team. i expect leeds to p*ss all over the wolves in your quest for auto promo. many thanks for the workout, your team taught ours some lessons, as in my dreams shrews p*ss all over the blades on saturday sadly they have no fans on not606, so i am unable to stoke them up. good luck against wolves and do get promo, i suspect wolves, brum and certainly leicester may not stand in your way! have you got rid of masterbates yet? from a crushed aj- er floreat salopia!
Saw Tony Hadley playing after York races a couple of Fridays ago. He is a fat fooker but can still hold a tune. Also there Mark Almond (soft Cell). Martin Fry (ABC) and Clare grogan (altered images) got to say she is aging very well. Found three winners and a concert for £18.50 was a cracking afternoon / night!
