Both of them can go to hell. We have neither right now I'd rather keep neither.

    Afternoon All.

I'm glad Williams is gone the less of Bates crew that are involved with the club the better, same goes with Lorimer.

I think the MLS will be good For Connelly and New York is probably the right level for him. LA has too many big names and the rest are of a poor standard but saying that from what I understand it's on the up. I'm suprised Grella has never gone back to America to reignite hiss career. He's got to do better over there than here.

Parker going to QPR doesn't suprise to be honest. He's played for Redknapp at Spurs and if QPR can afford him why not go down there. Look at Nolan going to West Ham a couple of years ago.

The signing that does suprise me is Anelka going to WBA. It's not the fact he gone to West Brom it's the fact he's moved clubs again. This is his 12 club in a 17 year career and he's only 34

Hello mate, hope your well <ok>

Yeah I liked the look of Grellas movement/feet and I cant see any reason why he wouldnt do well in L1 but there you go. Enough people have took a look at him and he's obviously not good enough. Shame really, looked a flare player!

Think Grella has the ability but clearly lacks the attitude.

Oh and his finishing was atrocious <yikes>

Isn't that just from another "ITK" bullshitter? I wouldn't be surprised if we're interested but if, as Phil Hay said, we haven't contacted Dundee Utd yet I can't see how he could be in before Slovenia.

Phil Hays a clever bugger. For him to even mention a name I would think theres something in it e.g we have talked to the player not the club yet <ok>

Well, McD has lost one of his targets due to not being able to meet his salary as offered by another club, so could be GM-S that we've missed out on. Have a look at recent transfers to Championship clubs and see who would have been a likely target for McD.

I can't see it been GMS that we have missed out on. More likely to be Charlie Austin or Kilgallon. I watched a bit of GMS on Youtube! We need some wingers just to get the ball in now that we have a bit of height! Let's hope we can get him signed. I heard Wolves were interested as well. We have already beat them signing Murphy! It's a great feeling to be competing with other clubs again trying to sign up half decent talent.

Highly doubt we were in for Kilgallon, and I doubt even more that we were in for Austin - he'll cost in excess of £4m and is wanted by Premiership teams. I can't see him going to another championship side anyway. We'll probably never find out who this target we missed out on was.

What was rumoured was that the chairman sounded out McD about a 3 million pound bid for a player. The sticking point was the wages. (I am pretty certain it was Austin) Anyway, it doesn't matter now. I am really happy the way things are shaping up and we can do without any greedy prima donna's. It kind of goes against the grain of what McD is trying to build here.

Even if we have money, I still don't think we'd make a £3m bid for one player...unless we really are stupidly rich and I don't think we are. We could buy 3 or 4 good quality players for that much so I doubt we'd offer it for one, especially when we still have a fair bit of work to do on the squad

Depressingly enough, I can still think of a few centre halves we've had over the past 10 years who were considerably worse.
