Hearing reports of a total new party interested now and a new bid has been submitted anyone else hearing this?
The original ones are probably about to pull out and Bates wants to buy himself more time with an imaginery new bidder.
Afternoon all I'm actually quite surprised it has only been a 5k drop in the attendances as well, and would expect midweek to have dropped more than the weekend games to be honest. As for the hideous thought of bringing Wise back... Just don't. Okay? Just don't.
TBH I am also surprised the drop isn't greater than that, I wonder how much of that is fans staying away because of Bates and crap performances and how much is down to the economy and people generally not having as much spare income.
What was the price of a ticket in 2010 and this season? cos now, quoting that nice Mr Bates 'you are watching Premiership footie' the revenue probably hasn't changed by a significant amount.....nice man that Mr Bates
From what I could find cheapest adult season ticket prices were quoted as: 2010 - £450 (family stand, early renewal) 2011 - £462 (family stand, early renewal) 2012 - £462 (family stand, early renewal) Cheapest ticket outside of family stand was around the £500-£520 mark, again for early renewal. Late renewals seemed to whack about £60 on the price and couldn't easily find the cost of non-renewal tickets for the three seasons.
Between 2010 and 2011, the adult family stand prices went up by about 15%, and it was 10% the year before that. When I first started taking my son and we went in the Family Stand, in about 2005 or 2006, my ticket was less than £300 and his was £160. By the time I decided to stop going this season, the cost would have been more than £450 for me, and something like £300 for him (although he has just turned 16 so we would not have bneen allowed in the Family Stand). But I had said all along from the beginning of 2011/12 that that was the last year because it was certainly no longer value for money So he prefers to watch Real Madrid and Ronaldo instead of listening to LUFC on the radio. He even found the Cardiff-Leeds game online and was watching that but then got bored and watched Man City or Arsenal instead. He was bored out of his mind at ER last year - so was I - and I don't think it has improved despite me previously thinking that we should have a solid squad (I still think that - but Warnock won't play the players in the positions that will give us a real strong spine) My lad is Leeds through and through, but he can't stand watching us
