Glad it isn't just me who is now feeling far from positive - My dream hope is a TO and a few wow quality signings giving us automatic promotion. My realistic hope is that we sign someone like Peltier who is young and who will hopefully improve and maybe Chambers all on long contracts. Throw in Pearce and Lees and get White to sign new terms and we could and should have the basis of a very solid back four for a few years to come. If we can push for the play offs anything can happen, if we fail at least we can look at the team with new owners in place and hopefully agree we are just 2-3 players short of a top quality team to gain us promotion next year. As long as the take over happens and we re-invest rather than bleed dry I will be happy with that and a steady improvement year on year. Granted we should have been at that stage for the season ahead, Gradel, Snodgrass, Howson, Johnson, Clayton, Beckford, Becchio and McCormack - Had we not had tight KB in charge surely Pearce, Drury and a Peltier type signing would have been enough...
Morning all and like most of you I'm sick to death of waiting for news. massive problems on the horizon that not many have mentioned .... Seems nobody wants to buy our 'transfer listed players' because thier all garbage. So we end up keeping them and wasting wage budget on them instead of fresh blood. Clayton was always going to be picked up because he's the best of the bunch, and as things stand will be a big loss. Not too happy about some of the potential signings rumoured to be coming, because I'm sure Warnock would want better too if he had the cash. He can't get any cash to speak of until this deal happens, which looks like being January window. So at best we'll be in mid-table if we're lucky at Xmas. If he doesn't get decent cash for buying quality players then Ross and Snodds are sold, simple as that and we'll be back into freebie journeymen yet again ...... Unless this friggin deal gets closed and the new owners give Warnock some cash and let him terminate some contracts for the dregs, so we get them off the books. Its going to be a tough league and without any quality we're going to struggle.
Morning Doc - I wonder if you are onto something - If Warnock does manage to capture Peltier and Chambers very soon we will have a very solid looking back four and it will have cost around £750k to put together. Maybe he isn't expecting too much in the way of cash until January hence why he is looking at the Green, Varney and Norris type players. Does he see them as doing a job that will put us within touching distance until he has a chance to spend out on real targets who will make that big difference.

This I would agree with. He didnt want to leave as the fans made him into a superstar. He wont get the attention he loved so much in Nandos anymore unless he bumps into a couple of Hudders fans, and you only find them in Huddersfield! Leeds fans are everywhere

Nope. interesting to see if Bates turns up to his court hearing against the WYP as he hasnt been seen or heard since Snod & Lorimer critisised him, and that was ages ago! Does the court case start this week or next? Dread to think how this could affect our season if we lose.

Eire, Bates is taking on the West Yorkshire Police about costs and who should be picking them up I believe. Kissa, if thats true the have a better team than us, there showing more ambition than us & surely Snod wont be sticking around. Why the bloody hell would we do business with them anyway? Grayson wasnt good enough for us a few months ago & now there threatening to overtake us in one of there rare appearances in the second tier! Outrageous. This takeover has to happen.
At the very least today I was expecting to hear that Warnock had spent the Clayton money, I thought we would see Peltier, Norris and Varney arrive, I had my fingers crossed on Chambers and yet nothing. Pre-season is just around the corner and nowhere near the shape of the club we need or desire - Last signings were announced between 2.00pm and 4.00pm so a little time left before I go through another day searching for something positive to happen

Ticket office is down on Friday. Could this be to change Account Details etc ristac? Someone phoned up about friendly tickets & the ticket office apparently said this is the reason.
