Morning Elland. Bookies lost out on me again. That's the trouble, I have to do some work occasionally!!!!!!!!!
Is Johnson as DM or an attacking CM? Who would he replace in our midfield if everyone's fit? I think a RB is our main priority... unless Messi develops a taste for Sam Smiths!!! Leicester are in serious danger of falling apart of they're about to bring in a load of new signings in the January TW. It takes time for new signings, even good ones, to bed into a team. With what will be only 3 months left, it would be a bit of an ask for them to not only get into the play offs, but deliver what their owners really want; auto prom. As to who comes who goes, Paynter is not shining at Brighton. So I doubt we'll look to hold onto him for much longer. Pity, but there we go. On Alex Bruce, not sure he's had a fair crack of the whip at Leeds. But we're clearly moving on with Kisnorbo, Lees, O'Dea??, & Bromby. So Bruce will be on his way soon. Again, I think this is a pity. But as we're pushing for auto & he isn't setting the world alight at Huddersfield, can't see him being retained either. AOB is definately on his way, but there must be a lot going on in the background there because the club have been unusually silent after he said what he did. Not sure we'll see too many new faces. We'll finish off the Pugh signing. We might also keep Keogh/McCarthy until the end of the season. Prizing Lichaj away from Villa would be a master stroke, but can't see it happening.
I think if we are playing more in the midfield Johnson would be a great loan. Claytons bound to be suspended soon & Howson is currently injured although it doesnt look to serious. That being said, I like Pugh sitting in the middle, the lads got a good footballing brain which makes up for the lack of pace. Paynter & Bruce are both punching above there weight in the championship & I fully expect Paynter to come back here & we will struggle to off load him. O'Dea? Send him back & sign a decent CB with the money saved from AOB, Bruce & O'Deas wages and lets get someone in who will hit the ground running. No disrespect to O'Dea but it hasnt really worked out for him in the championship. Lees- Another as starters with Kissa and Bromby as back up, everyone happy with that?
Bucks, simple question; who's the quicker, O'Dea or Kisnorbo? The reason I ask is that Watford's goal on Saturday highlighted Kisnorbo's lack of pace. In all other areas, he's fine & leads the back line well. But faced with a 1 on 1 against any forward with a bit of pace, its a goal against, a booking, or worse. Will still like to see Bromby & Lees partnered together for a while, as I think Bromby has a bit of pace & can help Lees to develop.
Bucks, we can't send O'Dea back, think he is out of contract . We seriously need to offload Paynter, Bruce, AOB, O'Dea, Parker and Rachubka, and bring in decent centre back, decent right back (like Lichaj, but will be too late) and a DM/AM
Afternoon Elland. Hoping someone makes a decision on my possible temporary trip to Sarajevo quickly. Have got a ticket for the Arsenal game, which I'll have to fit in around the cup match. But keen to go to Palace as well, especially as they're almost within walking distance.
Depends whereabouts Elland. Trust me, Swansea's a great place to live, as are the Black Mountains & the Brecons. Cardiff has on one endearing feature, apart from thed out of it, & that'd be the Millenium Stadium. Very impressive. Find my FB & look at the piccie. That's me propping the bar up on the half way line after a bit of a run.
Missed out on a trip, & a working trip at that,to Barbados. Pity, but there we go. Sarajevo instead... maybe.
Swansea , you sure??? I'm not bias, but when you say swansea, I think high unemployment, thugs, sheep shagging, English hating, nothing to do
Wouldn't have thought there'd be too much to do in Swansea (that isn't sheep related). Do you think I should post a thread to Swansea asking em what there is to do there??
English hating is, for some, just a generalisation for the Welsh. Thugs? Not too much. High unemploymnet? Maybe, they closed all the pits.
