Unlucky lads. While I despise Cardiff for rivalry reasons, I do feel sorry for you lot and the rest of your fans. Again your players refuse to show up and again they leave themselves a mountain to climb. Stranger things have happened but I can't see this being turned around, they've just going to park the bus up.
An early goal monday and its game on, Cardiff have to come out of the traps in the first twenty minutes and get an early goal, West Ham will come out looking for that 3rd goal to try and kill the contest which will hopefully leave gaps at the back, Cardiff have to be more accurate and clinical in front of goal which they were'nt last night. What are the chances of a 70 yard lob from hudson to make it 3-2 to Cardiff and a place in the final Keep the faith lads, it aint over till the large lady sings as the saying goes.
Keep the faith Hampshire - still another 90 minutes (at least) to go - they scored two at CCS and you are more than capable of replying in kind! The game will be a one off; yes you start at a disadvantage but remember that WHU is a team that has refused to slash its wage bill - they have gambled on the fact that they will return to the Premier League - their fans think that this Championship season was just a minor blip and that they belong in the top flight - they have gambled on a swift return and if things start to go wrong they will start sweating - their arrogance is astonishing, and remember that pride comes before a fall. All is not lost; get an early goal and they may start to panic; like a poker player who has bet his house on a hand of cards they will start to think of the consequences of failure! At this point in time you have nothing to lose - the londoners have already started to believe they are home and dry - get at them early and their complacency may prove their Achilles heel! I do not believe it is over, they scored two soft goals at the CCS; you had plenty of chances that may have gone in another day! So keep the faith, get behind your team, and anything could happen. I will have my fingers crossed for you (and may suffer a backlash from less enlightened Jacks) But hey, that's football - a funny old game that doesn't always go according to plan! Is just 11 versus 11 and, whilst a two goal advantage and the luxury of playing at home is a big hurdle to overcome it is not insurmountable! I believe your lads will sweat blood and give it their best shot, so get behind them and believe that you are well capable of overturning the odds and getting something out of the game. Teach the English establishment a long overdue lesson - there is no reason why there shoudn't be two Welsh teams flying the flag in the top flight! You can beat WHU at home, you've done it already this season! So good luck lads - all the best and keep the faith! August 2011 - West Ham 0 - 1 Cardiff City
