Really hope Newcastle get CL now, because it will be funny seeing Abramovich implode and the press avoiding saying anything about Redknapp for bottling it massively. Then when they do get CL I hope Alan Pardew's smug grin is slowly wiped off his face as he finds its not so easy to keep in the top 4 as most players will be wanting a huge pay rise for getting Newcastle into the CL and they won't have much room to manoeuvre financially unless they offload a Tiote or a Krul in the summer becasue of these players wanting pay rises, even with the extra CL money.

Rubadub your comment simply makes you sound bitter to be honest. I'm not bitter in the slightest at the fact we haven't won any major trophies for 43 years (if you're going to put something in big writing then make sure its factual - we have won trophies in the past decade but just not ones worth bragging about (championship winners, inter-toto cup, etc)) but winning something soon woudn't go amiss.
I think it actually says good things about Newcastle, that even after half a century of winning little of note, the fans still turn up in such huge numbers
