Firstly, a good advert for lower league football and for Bristol football in general.
JET's goal was superb and so was Joe Bryan's. He was excellent and should have been man of the match, not JET.
Rovers were poor first half, but well organised so we kept it to 1-0 at half time when it could have been much worse. We just didn't have any attacking intent apart from a couple of powder puff attempts from Clarky.
Second half there was very little to show between the teams, Rovers carried far more threat and midway through the half it could have gone either way. We deserved our goal and kept the Teds pretty quiet. The main difference between the teams was the extra quality that money can buy.
Overall, I'm pretty damn happy that we competed well against a team with the likes of Shorey, JET, Harewood, Baldock etc. We need that cutting edge in the final third, but we will do well this season without a doubt.
Ward is an excellent manager who has the team organised well. I'm slightly disappointed that we didn't start the first half as well as we did against York and Northampton, but City are clearly a good team and on the balance of play deserved their win.
Overall an excellent advert for Bristol football, only marred by the Ted cretins at the end clearly after a fight. Shameful twats.
