Wasted money at the flicks to watch that ****e.

I liked Misommar but I can understand why not everyone does, it's an odd film. As much as I rate it it's not one I'd recommend to other people unless I know they like weird atmospheric ****.

Agreed about Interstellar, loved that film. Last time I saw it was well before my daughter was born so it'll have extra emotional impact now.

I agree. I liked Midsommer, reminded me very much of The Wicker Man (the original one and not the s**t Nicholas Cage one).

As for Interstellar that is a modern masterpiece. I recently watched Tenet, that too was a very good film but it's hurt my head.

If you like films containing paradox's then give 'Predestination' a watch - simply brilliant.

Ha Ha, you say Tenet hurt your head and then recommend Predestination! It's based on a good short story too - "All You Zombies" (note, it's not a zombie film).

I'm a sucker for anything with a time loop in it. Groundhog Day, Edge of Tomorrow, Source Code, Happy Death Day, etc. There was a low budget one that I watched ages ago, Salvage (2006), that I really enjoyed, and was a bit different, but I've never seen it shown anywhere since. It was a horror time-loop thing where a girl gets murdered and then wakes up, repeats the day, but despite doing things differently gets murdered again, etc. If anyone likes that sort of thing it may be available for download somewhere. Don't look up the story first, else it will spoil it if you know the ending.

Yeah it was like The Wicker Man now you mention it, similar unsettling vibe and overall story. I never bothered with the Nic Cage version as it was supposed to be crap but I've seen the original a couple of times. Seem to remember Britt Ekland getting her kit off once or twice which adds to the appeal.

There was series on Sky called The Third Day which we enjoyed, pretty much a tv version of Wicker. Not brilliant or anything but it had its moments if you like that sort of thing.

When I watched the remake with Nic Cage I remember being embarrassed in my own home (watching alone). It was really bad, but the original was a great cult film. May have to watch again now you reminded me of Britt Ekland :emoticon-0165-muscl

I may give The 3rd Day a watch it's got Paddy Constantine in it!!! Great actor.

Mate i enjoyed Chernobyl 1986 om Netflix this week. Might not fit your requirement. Watched Memento again the other night and that is brilliant if you havent seen it. Hasnt been a good horror for a few years in my opinion but would love to hear some recomendatioms.
Compared to the Sky-HBO mini series this was really poor - but then its production was only announced by the Russians once they got wind of the mini series getting made and essentially the whole thing is just Putinesque propaganda.

There's nothing the bloke can't do is there, loads of role variety and always nails it. I'm not much of a Jude Law fan but he's good in it, the whole cast does a great job. Slow burner but it doesn't sound like that'd bother you.
