    Saint , Martin o'neill has managed three bigger clubs than Southampton , if you could ask him the biggest 10 games , he has ever managed in ??? Answer would three or four champions league games , three or four old firm games and Scottish cup finals against hibs and Dundee utd . meaningless games in the epl at the end of day come nowhere near the huge games he managed in charge of us .

    Yes Harry, you're just underlining my point, because of the skewed resources in your league, ALL of O'Neills 'best' memories are Cup Finals etc. Because Celtic are ALWAYS in the ****ing things.....Aston Villa had "COMPETITION" <ok>

    The year you chose "at random" was 2003, a year which Celtic had its highest ever wage spend.

    In 2011 Blackpool operated with a total wage spend of £11.6m
    In 2011 Manchester City spent £133m on player wages.

    Is that more, or less skewed?

    Since this time, Blackpool have halved their wages.
    Given that Southampton are spending like it is going out of fashion and after tonights woeful display are likely to end up in the play-offs alongside Blackpool, I wonder what lessons you might learn from that to turn your argument around?

    I am all for your argument by the way, it is just that when it is so easily destroyed that maybe we ought to work out some kind of way of putting this argument on a solid foundation. Right now, we look stupid.
