Yes mate Take up golf like I did.....borrowed my sons clubs for a few weeks to see if I liked it. Went up the driving range up at Hedge End to practice for a few months. Had a couple of lessons then started playing different courses until I found one I liked. (By this time my neighbor had joined me) Never looked back......go up a couple of times a week......I have my ok days as well as my bad no one is bothered just enjoy yourself!
My Clubs have been rotting in the attic for a few years now, I came to the conclusion I wasn't any good at it and that it was just a good walk ruined because I had to keep stopping to look for that stupid little ball!
My haven't we all grown up and become very sensible. I've even found myself wishing Pompey well and being really nice to their fans. In those bad old days I was often quite beastly to my very dear blue friends. These days it is all peace and love and I just want to give PompeyMeowth a big hug. Blimey I nearly joined the PST until the very lovely Mrs Godders grabbed hold of me and gave me a good shaking and said "For God's sake man get a grip". There is something in the water on not606 that has a life changing quality. Either that or some very good mods.
Love to my friend would be a pleasure...Just not in the next month though as I will be in Aussie......Unless of course you fancy a trip....
Let me know when you are back. I'm on "garden leave" at least until year end and maybe into next year too. Resigned from job and I'm on 6 months notice... hoping it won't be six though!
