Yeah, but badgers are reputed to be very hirsute. Moody too.

Trouble with the badger is that you can't hide the smell of them. Far worse than a harmless little pony.<doh>

    TFLS, I thought you'd retired......apparently not.

I suppose there's a possibility you'll add some spice to the mix, or not as the case may be.

I was just starting to believe that this board would become less of a WUM showcase than BBC606, however that was probably wishful thinking.

Don't agree OS. I believe this site will remain relatively calm and debate will be the order of the day.

I hope so SFC Forever. I like a laugh, but it all got so pointless after a while. I guess there'll be a certain amount self moderation if Wumming is seen not to provoke a response so I suppose it's up to everybody to try not to react when it does happen.

One thing I like is the ability to use no swearing or ignore buttons.

SFC and Optimistic.......There has been a concerted effort to avoid the kind of nastiness you used to get on 606. Some of the well known names that tended to Wind people up have agreed that they would for the sake of debate refrain from going down that route. We have only had one case to my knowledge since this forum opened where it could be said that a person "went over the top". On that particular evening there were a number of posters and to a man/woman tried to calm the situation down so that the person eventually apologised for his language, and did calm down. This is s good time to remind folk that you have a language filter as well as an ignore button which if someone does become a bit outlandish can be useful in my view. To be honest it is not the type of thing we want on here I am sure you will agree. As others have said before me, we want this to be a friendly site, to have good debate, healthy banter. Others will disagree, but most that seem to be on at the moment agree and work to keep it that way.

I am Minging the biggest WUM ever on the Pompey/Saints boards with over 120 account ID's and unconnected IP's and URL's which I adopted having felt harshly treated by the BBC in originally banning me at work. I have started afresh so should others and grasp the opportunity for free debate and friendly banter.! PUP and long live Not 606!<ok>

Exactly. Good to be able to have differences without the abuse. this site could well become much bigger than the old one ever was.

Earlier we were mentioning poor refereeing decisions.

Tonight Carlton Cole scored a goal that should have been cancelled out first for offside and then for handball. None of the Burnley boys set about the ref or player. So while I can understand players and fans reacting there is no call for the violence.

Auntie Moaner- Old Delboy! <laugh> I had so many id's I forgot who I was half the time I even wummed our Pompey Board ON 606 by mistake! <laugh>

Looks good over here though and I think it will suceed as the real alternative to 606 and in many ways be A LOT better. Good debate and less sniping at each other.

Self moderation is perhaps the key, I amtrying hard to curb my natural instincts!:emoticon-0116-evilg
