Not sure about the creativity as there seemed very little to me.

My young un was down there and here's his analysis this morning.

Another good day away spoilt by a s**** game between two s**** teams.
Man of the Match, hard to say - nobody stood out.
Too much lazy passing the ball about like a pre-season kick about.

Cabella - needs to get grips with the intensity of the PL quickly, even our fans were joining in with the 'soft as s****' chanting from the Villa fans.

    I can't say I disagreed with him.

Well our fans are idiots if that's true. Nzogbia made several bad challenges on him throughout the game, and was lucky to be on the pitch towards the end of it, which is why he was brought off. The little **** could have had a straight red for the one where he stamped on Cabella's foot.

There's getting used to the intensity of the league, and then there's having the **** kicked out of you.

Cabella has created almost all of our best chances so far, and has been our best player over the course of two games.

He's started a lot quicker than Cabaye did.

I agree that Cabella did get a few strong challenges on him (also against Citeh) - the haircut & step overs were always going to attract the rough stuff. I do think he'll take time to work out when to go down and when not to. The flailing arm (also from N'Zogbia) to the eye, really didn't require the reaction that he gave. Again, it will take time for him to realise that these things happen in England.

He did over elaborate at times, but was definitely our most creative spark - though, that isn't exactly saying much.

All in all, I'm in the more positive than negative camp on this performance. It's going to take time for the players to settle into the team and to settle their nerves.

That said. Failing to beat Palace next weekend would equate to a poor start, in my opinion. Palace are in complete disarray and our new look team should have more than enough to see them off.

The fans continuing to chant for HBA are starting to annoy me now. No need.

To be honest, If we're not going to sell him, we should be playing him. It's all about Pardew vs Ben Arfa now, not what's best for the team.

It puts pressure on Pardew so I like it knowing he hates it.

    Prefer Pardew **** off though

We should only play him if playing him helps the team. I'm not sure he has done anything to show that it does.
