Arguably the finest keeper the R's have had. It was such a come down that when he was sold to West Ham we had Derek Richardson as as Phil's replacement. We were relegated at that season if memory serves me correct........

Great photo!

I know we dislike everything about that lot from SW6 but both Webby and John Hollins were two hugely important cogs in our side during that season. Webby and Frank McLintock were a brilliant center half pairing and Hollins allowed Gerry and Don Masson to pull the strings in midfield.........happy days

He was a good little player too, I was pissed off when he went to West Ham, though it was for a lot of dosh in those days.

I wiki’d him before I posted the pic up. I always thought he was a decent pro, but his goals per game ain’t that special. Mind you, he was more the foil for Clive Allen when with us.

Back in the day it felt like all our players went to West Ham.
