From early teen I have always wondered why we don't do PR (will of the majority) and to this day can not understand how the present FPP can be democratic.

Under PR imagine how many UKIP MP's there would have been after the 2015 elections, every system has its drawbacks. Italy have PR and they have an election every month as nobody will agree with anyone.

I agree. PR breaks up big parties power a bit. But it does deliver the looney fringe.

Look at the republic of Ireland currently. I think its got PR and you've terrorists, monster raving looneys and a wedge of independents every where. I don't quite know how it functions.

Denmark is the same so its minority rule and by PR they have to agree everything so nothing gets done

In 2015, the Greens got 1 MP for 1m votes, while the SNP got 56 MPs for 1.4m votes. As a wise man once said, "Every rose has its thorns."
