Just thinking out the box Matt. I'm not saying he's unhappy with us or with being here but with how the situation has played out and particularly where it has left him at the latter part of his career. This can't be an easy ride for him because at the latter stages of his career, when most are powering down, he has to gear up and prove himself to be a top striker if he is to get anywhere near Bony's standing as our top player. I know that would P1sh me off if everything I had already done was nothing more than sweat in the sand and I was given one short term project of one career defining month to prove myself. I'd be so p1shed off I'd probably blow it. Just my take on it, just me thinking out loud Matt.
Sky now saying man city in advanced talks for boney both sides not far apart, boney discussing personal terms
You may not be that far off the mark with those comments , we'll see how he does in the next few games although if he is angling for a move he'll probably be outstanding and then it becomes a catch 22 situation , a player banging them in will improve his value for a sale or he's proving a point to the Club that he should be No1 . either way we could benefit from it performance wise .
If true then what do I know, f a answers that. Money must be good then. Is Bale bored with Spain yet?
The Etihad Stadium side are putting together a £50m package for the 26 year old Ivory Coast international, with £30m put aside as a bid for the Liberty Stadium ace and £20m for the player’s wages and signing on fee. Manuel Pellegrini has seen his attack decimated with injuries at periods this term with the likes of Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero and Stevan Jovetic all spending time on the sidelines, leading to youngster José Ángel Pozo being used on occasion. Indeed such were the Premier League title holders difficulties in the striking department that Pellegrini had to field James Milner in a makeshift role late last year and as such it’s no huge surprise the club would look to sign a marksman this month. Bony has proven a big hit since his club record £12m move to Swansea City, racking up 25 goals in 43 Premier League starts. and once they're fit again I think he'll be used a sub
I saw the same figures, £mn 50 (£mn 30 / 20 split) quoted before Christmas, so maybe just a rehash in journoville Got to say for a player that would be a dream come true.
Wilfried Bony: Man City contact Swansea over possible move http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30699769
You're probably right , but when he goes you can't say he didn't give 100% to us and if the figures are true then 20 million in the bank will lessen the blow for him .
Do the deal now if needs be then that gives us time if the Club are so inclined to bring in a couple of replacements and not necessary in Wilfs' position .The trouble is we could have that money in the bank and other clubs raise their prices accordingly ,a good time to sell not so good to buy imo
Boundy thats the problem, as soon as a club has money other teams ask double, Just ask Liverpool fans and their 35,000,000 for carroll on the back of Torres sale. Still not convinced about Gomis but as you say If Bony goes now gives us time to see if he is up to it and maybe bring an alternate in, but then again i suppose that is why we brought in Olivera. Just think the lack of possibles goals will cost us, but should have enough t avoid being dragged in t the fight at the bottom.
I know and that's why I think Gomis has been brought into the starting 11 whilst Bony has still been with us ,the Club knew he was off and thought it best not to delay starting Gomis regardless of Bony's feelings as he's now the main man .
Things happening very quickly on the Bony front. He could be gone before O So do I. Sad,but inevitable.
Just hope we don't let to many go this window, with the Gomis wanting to go sstory and Shelvey may go. Our squad will be very very thin then. I know we are 12 pints abouve the bottom 3, but didn't Blackpool or hull hit the wall a few years back and slump in their second half of the season. I am just thinking my glass is half emty, not half full at the moment.
We've along way to go yet ,we could do the opposite of both Palace and Sunderland and we're not safe until it's mathematically impossible to go down ,there's a still a lot of points to win or lose .
