Gomis or Bony?

Which one should we play? that is the real question, because after yesterday's farce of two up front, it's clear these two cannot play together, and I'm not sure what point Monk was trying to prove yesterday with his unbelievable 4-4-2, with Siggy out of position as well, but either Bony wants out and is on the move, or we or should I say Monk is going to have major problems keeping these two happy. And we are reportedly still after another striker?
 
Bony with Gomis to come on from the bench. Gomis will get a run in the team when Bony leaves for African Nations. Still think we need to sign another youngish striker as a 3rd choice
 
I say play whoever impresses the most and scores the most goals, proper competition for that striker spot would be brilliant, would add quite a bit to the bench too. Keeping them happy might be a issue but that that's what we have our management for. I get the feeling Gomis is Bony's replacement but if he stays we should make the most of both.
 
Up front it has to be either Bony or Gomis for me, and to be honest, I wouldn't mind which one Monk went with.................<ok>
 
How would people feel if a Bony went to Liverpool and we got Borini and Joe in a straight swap? Would give us a different type of striker and solve the heir to Leon problem straight away.
 
Gomis , because Bony will leave by the end of the month . If Gomis starts at Old Trafford , it will be because Garrry wants to get going from the start with him when he knows Bony is going . Good luck to him when he goes and thanks for the money or the trade ,We may have to spend 23 million for Allen to get Borini for free, depending on Borin'si previous club .

which ever way you look at it Borini's not worth 14million imo and Joe as we know was over priced at 15 million so a straight swop for the two may seal the deal .
 
Last season we played Emnes in the #10 role with JDG moving out to the wing. Perhaps Monk was trying to repeat that with Gomis and Sig, if so, something clearly got lost in translation.

I think what happens with Gomis is dependent on Bony, of course, but also how the midfield players perform and earn their places and what we want to do to control midfield in any given match.

Sometimes Bony will play the #9 role, with Gomis #10, and two deeper midfield players. Other times Bony will play the #9 role, with Gomis on the bench, and 3 midfielders out of Leon, Ki, Sig, Shelvey etc.

This presumes 4-5-1. If we go to 4-4-2 .... I give in.
 
Comments about getting Allen back seem to be forgetting one little thing ..... Allen wanting to come back. And Borini as well. Neither are blind to our exodus and Allen surely has heard through the grape vine the good and bad of the current internal situation.
 
Allen and Borini would be very tempting given our current situation...but I rate Borini at about £7m and believe we could get Allen back for next to nothing in a season or 2....Vs a £25m striker in Bony.

Even though I think this is a **** deal I'd probably take it if offered in the next fortnight as I believe Bony truly wants out and this deal would leave us only needing to recruit defenders...we need to avoid relegation above all and right now we look dreadfully unprepared.

Well don't keep shouting 4-4-2 to Monk in training then!..................<laugh>
 
You know my view on Borini, though he is not worth £14 Million, but getting Allen back would give us so much more fluidity in midfield........................<cheers>
