There's a Web/Facebook/Retro page called The Golden Age of Tennis. We're talking McEnroe, Connor, Borg, Villas, Nastase era etc., when the gear was cool as ****. It's not like that now. I know Federer, Nadal, Djokovic etc. are good, but they're not compared to that late 70's 80's lot. Bought myself a nice Sergio Tacchini Super Mac Polo shirts for the holidays. Will post in the Threads thread.
Looks a good leaderboard that. Have had four bets, two misssd the cut in Koepka and Horschel, two in the mix in Hovland and Aberg. Was a toss up between which LIV one I went for; Koepka or de Chambeau. I backed the wrong horse. McIlroy could actually win this one though, was hitting it sweet as last night.
Long way to go. If my life depended on it I’d probably back Scheffler but my ex did some work for Rose and says he’s a nice bloke so I’m backing that incredibly tenuous link on Sunday evening if he doesn’t crash and burn today.
I think de Chambeau wins it from here, but one of them will have a big day today. And another will **** up no doubt. They usually set the Saturday up a bit 'easier'. There's loads could still win it.
Done remarkably well to get it back since. Find Dechambeau’s man of the people act a bit false and he’s got a **** name.
Aberg manged to scrape a place despite trippling the last, so I got a huge twelve quid back on him. Fair play McIlroy, I thought Rose would win the play off but he nailed it.
In the circumstances that shot onto the green was incredible. It’s a shame he’ll lose sports personality of the year to a blind transgender kayaker.
