I'm getting really ****ing annoyed with it. Was generally going round in the high 90's and generally around the 100 mark. Been having. Course of lessons and there has been no improvement. My grip has been changed my stance on address to the ball. Been working on my swing plane. All in all no progress and more frustration.
Having played lots of sports in my younger days, cricket, football, rugby etc to a fair standard,I took up golf assuming I would be at least "competitive" I had lessons, new clubs, change the grip, the stance etc Nothing ever worked. I would go round 1 day in 85 (not bad) and a couple of days later 110 ???????????????? Gave it up after 4 years and took up Green Bowls. Cheaper, more friendly and I am half descent at it. One of few sports you can play against International players competitively.
think i'm too young for bowls..... since I posted this I have had 2 good rounds hitting my best score since taking it back up. Then played terribly this weekend with my worst score in ages, that said the conditions were bad.
Never too young my friend. We play against lots of teenagers and 20/30 yr olds male and female. The advantage of youth is better eyesight. Try it,you might be surprised.
