Such a shame that the BBC are not showing the full highlights today and tomorrow. The British Open is a sporting institution and should always remain free to watch but I guess greed nearly always wins out in this day and age.Still it provides a good excuse to watch proceedings in the pub supping over a nice cold:emoticon-0167-beer:<cool>

Well my picks were utter ****e and 2 of them went to extraordinary lengths to miss the cut. Justin Thomas (actually Stick's putting pick but had to back him after he'd been put up) was -4 on the 12 tee on day 1 and still -2 stood on the 6th tee on day 2. Matsuyama was an even more spectacular failure. He was +1 and comfortably in for the weekend only to rack up a 7 on the not so lucky last to miss the cut by 1 <laugh>. With that sort of luck I should really give up betting on golf. But where's the fun in that? The early scores on day 3 indicate there's a low 60s for somebody. So a final punt in Koepka at 28/1 who is definitely capable of shooting low. Sorry to Karlos and anyone else who is already on.
And Koepka promptly goes into reverse. Sorry Karlos <doh>

After yesterday’s excellent round surely it’s Jordan Spieths to loose now (7/4 with Skybet). I hope a few others give it a good go though to make it interesting. Good luck with your bets fellas.

That’s Koepka done. Started and finished his round with birdies, it’s just the other 16 holes that was the problem lol:emoticon-0102-bigsm

I'd have loved to see Tiger win but not to be. Who'd have thought Speith would go birdie free in the final round. Well done to Molinari. Bar a miracle at the last a first major champ for Italy.

Hard to beat a dramatic final day in a major, that was some fun to watch. Would have been a good number of different favs throughout the day and probably quite a few punters thought they’d a chance at some point. The twists and turns in golf, can’t be another sport like it. Fair play to Moli, a reformed character from his nervy, twitchy putts when in contention of tournaments, he’s as cool as a cucumber now. Can’t argue with two bogey free rounds to finish off in a major especially around there with the wind blowing a gale! Mightily impressive.

Nice of Justin Thomas to hack up at 33s in his next event after a total no show here, and as with all good punting tales, of course I wasn’t on him <doh>
