10 holes last night - first time on the course this year as I've lost the bug - and bang back comes the bug! Bit of work to get back up to speed but the same old swing and mannerisms!
Well done for getting out mate, it's good to get that bug back! My course has been mega busy with visitors recently, it is great to see so many people enjoying a swing. I'm out again today, my 33rd round in 33 days Yesterday, playing against a friend, I shot 71...I had eight 3s on my card. The round would have been even better but for a double bogey 7 on the 15th ffs, caused by holding back on my drive and not concentrating. Sexy golfing
Aye, its been coming mate. Constant practise, constant rounds but also, I've learned some good habits along the way. One of them is if you want to be a good golfer then you've got to think like a good golfer. And hit straight, putt well, have a plan, dont rush your game, and certainly, put that last bad shot to the back of your mind and dont give up!
Tremendous mate. I've just finished another round. I've been out on my own (Billy No Mates!), what I like to do is play two balls and count whatever the best score is from either ball per hole (it still counts for bogies etc). Today I set my new record of 3 under, I'm being harsh given that on the 18th my put didnt drop, it went in and came out...maybe because of the shallow hole...very harsh. Nevertheless, that's a 66 using this system.
He hasn't changed, his latest thing is to shout Jimmy Saville when I'm about to tee off I lose count of how many times he takes another shot, or how many times he gives himself a better lie when he thinks you can't see. And to cap if all, he tries to tell me I'm the cheat
If he still enjoys it and you had a laugh, it doesn't really matter if he cheats..... **** the rules, they're for conformists, so manipulate them I say. You gotta Cheat Cheat no reason to play fair....
No need to cheat when you can shoot 68 like I did today. They've now tagged me as the best player at our club...the man they all want to beat ffs Barber has major foot problem which needs operating on, he might not be playing for a while.
Getting to the crux of it, have you won any trophies or prize money yet? I hope you haven't lumbered yourself with too low a handicap. Have you not learned anything? Hopefully, the operation will sort things out for him.

It helps when you have that drive of mine That said, I've improved massively on my iron play, I have made a few adjustments to grip and swing. As it happens, Barber is a very good putter from six feet and under, it's the rest of his game that is crap
