I think it would be two seasons too late to move for Billy Sharpe.....

    Vastly overrated?!?!?!?!

There should be rules about blasphemy!

Shefki Kuqi was the best player we've had here in the last 15 years. Not the fastest, fittest or most skillfull, but he had passion in spades and he scored more than anyone since.

I urge you all to look up the Observer article about him from about 5 years ago. Fascinating story of his life. Absolute mountain of a man who won over the fans of any club he played for (except Newcastle United).

    Legend.

I was not slating him but I don't think he is legendary either. Given the choice between Mathie Marshall Kywomya or Kuqi, Kuqi would be forth choice for me.

He certainly gave his all and rightfully became a fan favorite but IMO not the most skilled player.

Fair play. I'm just a sucker for a character!

I still don't understand how he kept his sternum intact with those dives.

Absolutely loved Kuqi. Give me him over Counago anyday.

Imagine Counago with Kuqi's workrate, he would have played for Spain at a major tournament like he was supposed to in 1999....

On the other hand, imagine Kuqi with Counago's workrate. Sunday league at best!

I understand I have a soft spot for Manu Thetis and also the absolute legen(wait for it)dary Claus Thomson, when others don't seem as keen on them.

No not kidding I always enjoyed watching him play he was unpredictable but always fully committed and a bit of a hard man. Also I believe he got sent off for a tackle on Roy Keane whilst at another club.

Really got annoyed when BFJ sold him and decided not to renew my season ticket partly because of it.

You finger slipped from the 'w' to the 't' button easy mistake to make.

Talking of nicknames can anyone remember a player who was known as 'The Flea' played once for us I believe.
