To see Barry Daines in goal instead of Pat Jennings makes me so F***ing mad , Pat should have retired with us , one of the worse decisions this club ever made
Remember how, in The Back Before Times, we'd go on remarkably inconvenient tours to the other side of the world just so some car company could get some publicity while our pre-season training and transfer business would get utterly messed up by it?
Everyone celebrating while PSV were still valiantly defending the draw and the game was ongoing... They screwed the Dutch in the first leg with some appalling refereeing and they got their own back in the end. Probably an added bonus for them that we pulled off that heartbraking (for Ajax) comeback in the semis. For anyone that's forgotten what I'm on about, here's PSV getting robbed by Inter, as Handanovic is allowed to remain on the pitch at 1-0: Didn't realise that it was Bergwijn! Also got the assist in the return: Pretty sure that miss at the end came after our celebrations at the Nou Camp and there was another massive block, too.
One of my favourite memories of Pat Jennings was his first game for us when he caught the ball one handed and became a legend. ......and he actually lost his cool in one game, probably against Leeds, when he tried to kick one of their players out of the ground. ......and "that goal", when his kick hit the wet surface and flew over the Man U keeper's head in that Charity game. .....and his mess up for Arsenal giving us the cup game and a helping hand towards another Cup Final win.
And right on cue... Yes, I did post the same thing in Club Watch. The FA need all the ad revenue they can get if they have to tell Sky to get ****ed
