I went to the Preston game on my own on the supporters coach (the guys I usually go with each had a fantastic excuse not to go!), and there's always folks to chat to and someone you recognise.

I got in and met up with a mate who I've not seen for a few years and we had a good chat. I found it helped to dull what was a pretty poor / tired Watford performance on the day ...... what was the score again?????

I've been to about 50 different away grounds in my 30 years, and I feared Preston might be gone for a while, so I felt I wanted to go. Also I wanted to say goodbye to the likes of Danny Graham etc.

I find the social side of away games is very important, because sometimes I will go a number of away games before I see a decent performance. All part of being a Watford fan I guess.
