But isn't that the whole point of a cross board forum?

I do read most teams forums on here just out of interest and enjoy reading Hull's. I like the interaction between different sets of fans and find that, on the whole, you get more balanced views than on club specific forums. There's always going to be a few arseholes on every side.

There is definitely a correlation between current from and dick waving though and that goes for all clubs.

I'm fine with the cross board banter and general mockery of each other's teams. We're all ****in adults, so we should be able to take an argument by now, especially one on the internet.

Although, i can't stand twats giving it large, but who can't take in return.

I don't see it as a rivalry between us. I thought Pearson did an ok job while he was here, and it couldn't have been easy with all the off field problems.

It's pretty much blown over now anyway.

Also, it would be pretty ****e on here and not worth loggin' on if there was only one forum getting any threads posted. At least there;s a few on the championship section that's quite lively.

Anyone moaning about other supporters either has a short memory, is deluded, or wasn't on the old 606. The whole point to it is it's multi team and supporters of different clubs have the chance to interact with one another. Wouldn't it just be **** boring talking to ourselves all the time and missing out on outside views from across the leagues.

I'll admit, the cross board interaction is nowhere near as good as it was on the old 606, mainly down to the fact this site is self moderated and not hyper strict like the beeb was, which forced wind ups to be witty and intelligent or just be deleted, but let's be honest it's only natural, pick any 10 of us and lock us in a room with guns and explosives we will cause some havoc, lock the same 10 people in a scrapyard with a toolbox were bound to do something constructive. If toys are put in front of you your going to play with them, in the case of this site it's the ability to act like a child and call each other silly ****s.

And this obsessive verbal warfare between select groups of posters from ours and Leicesters lot got boring long ago, but they've every right to do as they wish it's a public forum and who are we to tell people what they can and can't do. I imagine some people on this site go outside and shout at strangers not to walk down their street because they don't live there.

Anyone moaning about people crossing boards needs to get over themselves. If you want a hull city exclusive forum set up a group with a password or go to ci but I imagine it will get boring pretty quick...

    Yawn.

You said James isn't fit to polish Tunnicliffe's boots, even though you admit you've only ever seen James play once before, away from home, in what the league table says is the second toughest fixture of the season. And we didn't lose or concede a goal, nor did we deserve to.

I pointed out that how ridiculous that sounded and after several posts back and forth, you threw a hissy fit and got personal. You then started bitching about me on your forum (in a similar manner to the post I've quoted), which I happened to see when I followed a link posted on our forum by Dutch. I didn't intend to hang around yesterday, but when I saw that, I retorted. Then about ten Hull fans began to hurl abuse at me, which again I responded to. I rarely visit this forum as, like others have said about Leicester, I have no interest in Hull.

So I for one wasn't drawn here by this weekend results. I was effectively drawn here by people like you being on our board and Dutch posting links.

It's a crying shame that this not606 board degenerates so often into slanging matches, riddled with insults, whether meant or in jest.

Such juvenile behaviour usually takes me four times as long as it should to glean the interesting stuff, to follow a thread of logical arguments and hear newsworthy facts & speculation. Many posters on here certainly add value, but too many lapse into name-calling and infantile argument.

I find myself having to plough through so much crap which detracts from it's potential value - which I believe should be a forum for learning interesting facts and current news about my team, opinions/discussions between fans of City and those of our rivals. etc etc.

Is it possible for cooler heads to prevail - just ignore the obvious WUMs, they'll soon get fed up and disappear. Have a laugh & a joke by all means, but eliminate the garbage and stick to healthy banter.

The incidence of non-value added posts does have a tendency to increase after City lose, or have a bad game, or our closest rivals have a few good results. Suppose it's only natural, but it certainly spoils my enjoyment when I see threads that often turn into useless drivel.

Lecture over...I'll still read everything of course, but it'll increase my eye-strain.....

    Apres le deluge....can't wait !!

We obviously disagree on the fact that James wasn't very good at the KC and you won't accept my opinion( not based on seeing both just once) that Tunnicliffe is a better player who will go onto bigger and better things than James.

The fact that two blokes who support different teams have different opinions is fairly normal I'd have thought, it certainly doesn't bother me.

Since that thread I posted on Friday I don't think I've posted on your board, might be wrong but I don't think I have.

I certainly haven't started a childish WUM of a thread and then claim it's not meant to be a wind up. I haven't been constantly on your board either.

It would appear that you're having some kind of neurotic meltdown because someone has posted an opinion you don't agree with. You might think my opinions are total bollocks but our disagreement should have been kept to that particular thread.

I honestly think you need to take stock of your recent actions and maybe realise that you've over reacted.

For the sake of the many decent posters on here do us a favour and stay clear for a while and I'll do likewise.

    Have a nice day.

Ultimately, this is a cross forum network. It's aimed at interaction between clubs. It's set up for people to post and others to reply.

The poor state of journalism now means that people read the boards to find out what's going on, but that really is a side issue. They're not reading rooms, people need to contribute too.

Usually, wummers are herded onto specific threads before they can derail decent discussion, the titles of which should really save anyone not interested from bothering to look in.

At the end of the day, the board will operate within the broad remit of what most users(ie posters) want.

I don't see the problem with fans (Leicester or otherwise) coming onto our board or vice versa. Like others have said, it's a cross board forum and one of the best things about it is interacting with fans of other clubs as well as your own and sharing opinions. These threads do need to become less childish and petty though. A bit of banter is fine but it doesn't take much for some of these threads to end up with mud slinging from both sides. I'm happy to talk to fans of other clubs in real life and enjoy a bit of banter with them, but it doesn't then go on to become a juvenile argument full of insults. This forum shouldn't be any different.

Some top posts on here that I totally agree with <ok>

In regards to the point that we only come here when we're doing well... Well, that works both ways. You do well, some of your fans come on our board giving it large, saying how far ahead you are of us etc, then a few results don't go your way, we hit form, the gap closes, said fans previously giving it the big one mysteriously disappear from our board, so we come on here instead. Now we'll lose on Friday, you'll beat posh away, we'll disappear from your board, and all the regular Hull posters will return to our board. Aaaand repeat :) Just the way it seems to go!

The funny thing is I am not defending James per se as you keep claiming, simply questioning how you have such a definite opinion on him when you admitted in other posts (although you've contradicted this above) that you've only seen him against Hull in one match.

I agree you didn't intend to WUM but you did begin to get personal as the conversation progressed. I thought this was a shame as I'd previously thought of you as one of the more reasonable Hull posters that semi-frequent our board.

You are wholly entitled to your opinion but when forming an opinion, it's usually advisable to base it on solid evidence. Saturday was only the third time I've seen Hull this season but I won't be basing any opinions on your players from that, as clearly you wouldn't be second in the league if you played like that all season.

I agree that you should have kept all this to the relevant thread on the Leicester pages and I have no idea why you've brought it up on two different threads on the Hull board. I also find it amusing that you actually appear to be claiming I did this, when anyone reading this thread can see you're brought it up yet again!

I'm not actually a regular visitor to the Hull board anyway and I never intend to be as, for a club that as no real rivalry with us, I see enough of your fans on our own board everyday as it is. Although, reading some of the comments on here, I think it's a shame that some of the more reasonable posters don't pop over. We mainly seem to get... the other types.

This is the last time I will respond on this issue as it's getting exceeding tedious, so do yourself and your fellow posters a favour and stop banging on about it, there's a good chap.

Good luck against Leyton Orient tonight.

I don't mind having the occasional cross-board banter. It's just when Leicester fans become laughably hypocritical and slate us for doing what they themselves have done to us.

**Proud Fox is the worst Moderator on Not606, and things can get worse because of his moronic maintenance of threads, removal of threads/comments that City fans have made even though some Leicester fans have done the same, if not worse.

**For the Leicester fans, that's what's called an opinion, something you don't seem to be affiliated with. Please don't get all menstrual about it. <ok>
