No too worried about those two Sparks, Caulker was always going to move on and Don ? I think we have a few better than him.

So long as we get our money back I'm very ready for life after Caulker.

Good luck to the Don (if he goes), 100%er, good championship player, nothing more.

Arsenal back for Marshall - this time the bid is said to be £8M.

The board's rejection of bids for Marshall will be a statement of intent. Wouldn't be gutted to see him go for the right price as I feel Lewis will be an adequate backup. Suppose if we're looking to the season after next in the Premier league or just on getting out of the Championship. Lewis for the latter, Marshall for the former.

Need a good clear out in other areas though.

Dalman hinting that we may se another signing by the end of the week.

Got mullered in the air by Cahill for Australia's goal though. Could not see him playing centre back in this country.

It will be interesting to see if Spain target him in the same way. Not the Spanish way I know but needs must in their case and Costa looks a big guy who could cause Medel some problems if he can isolate him.

I guess we would take about £10m for him to recoup most of what we spent. Not many Spanish clubs can afford that or might want to pay it for a defensive midfielder.

I wonder if we paid all upfront or over a period?

From what we saw with Cornelius, Moody probably wired the £11M across to Sevilla the same day with a note saying if it doesn't work out, you can have him back at half price. <doh>

No idea what the actual release clause/figure says in his contract, but I'll be amazed if we don't end up losing on the deal big time. If anyone offers any more than 6 or 7 mill, they've got more money than sense - just like Malky and Moody had this time last year.
