I agree as a kid listening to radio 2 when TW came on I change over to John Turner on Radio Bristol but he was master of Eurovision
I grew up listening to Wogan in the morning as I got ready for school and at the time, his show was years ahead of anything else in its style. His handovers to Jimmy Young used to crack me up sometimes, Jimmy always came off second best. I remember his "fight the flab" campaign which gave out a very simple maxim that I still follow today i.e. jump up and down naked in front of the mirror and if (the wrong) bits wobble, you know you have to do something about it...! RIP Terry, I have some happy memories of the show...
He's talked of as a national treasure and for me that's not too far wide of the mark. Enjoyed his TV and Radio work and he was apparently every bit as laid back and approachable as people said he was. RIP Tel and thanks
Keeping this going......How sad....Loved this band, shows my age! Maurice White from Earth Wind and Fire dies http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-35499149
Ozzy Osbourne has also cancelled the last 3 of Black Sabbaths shows in Canada on their 'The End' tour which is their last ever world-wide bash. I'm hoping that it's nothing more than the diagnosis of extreme Sinusitis that's been released to the public, I desperately want to see them one more time. Ditto, please keep Jeff Lynne and Ritchie Blackmore safe as I'm due to see them in April and June respectively, and after events and losses of recent weeks since December 28th, who knows !!
Nearly two people die each second, 105 people die each minute, 6,316 people die each hour, 151,600 people die each day and 55.3 million people die each year so its not so surprisingly someone who has found fame time is up, but on a positive note Four births each second of every day, 250 births each minute, 15,000 births each hour, 360,000 births per day and 131.4 million births per year, my conclusion, I should of been a midwife.
