Well i found this an interesting and well thought out post (apart from the clique bit).

Without getting into the rights and wrongs of going into afghanistan. Was the country stable enough to pull out?

Right or wrong, time they dealt with their own problems. Why the Afghans and Pakistanis don't get together and blast the Taliban to **** is a puzzle to me. I know it's more complicated than that with the tribal thing on the NW frontier, but still...

Comm thanks. Tbh, funky was right ( whether it was meant for me or not) I have taken his advice and have cancelled my account. Happy Christmas to all on here and all the best. It is, after all a football forum and its mad to be embroiled in petty arguments about something we can do little or nothing about
    Cheers

You just answered it there Sid. Its tribal. Tribal loyalties change with the weather.

These countries are countries in name only. You can't look to fix their problems with a 21st century head on your shoulders.

    Eh? You are leaving. Why.

Just do like i do, use the ignore button. That way you dont have to see certain peoples posts.

I enjoy your stuff, and will gladly talk about military conflicts and politics.

Absolutely no need to cancel your account over this. You obviously feel really deeply about this but thats no reason to feel the need to leave.

And I have no idea what you mean about cliques! As it happens, I think there was quite a lot of agreement on many of the points you'd raised.

Hope you change your mind! <ok>

It wasn't advise as such fella. You just said the news was getting to you so I was just chipping in with how much of an effect the news can have on me. Love hate relationship with Current Affairs. Can be my best friend or worst enemy. You'll know yourself if it's bringing you down too much. :)

Lads, I'm pretty sure he was talking about canceling a newspaper account. For a start you can't cancel an account on here. My post certainly had nothing to do with forum politics. it's just Com with his little ignore button seeing one side of a conversation and making the rest up himself because he's nowt but a fool.

He's got this chip on his shoulder. Started having little digs left right and centre, so I started doing it back so he blocked me! <laugh> Pathetic little tart, can dish it but can't take it.

That's pretty much it and suits me down to the ground. <ok>:D

He's also been making sweeping mental comments hiding behind the word 'We' talking on behalf of everybody. That's been upsetting a few people so his 'ignorance' is doing himself no favors. All because he tries too hard to be controversial. <doh>

I'm not sure what you're in about Funky.

The way I read it, Goodbye South Hylton was saying he was cancelling, i.e. ending his not606 posting because there's a clique who doesn't like him stating his opinions, which is obviously just not the case.

Don't think it anything to do with Comm in particular.

Well he said he was following my advice. I gave no such advice. My advice was on topic in regards to the news as he said events around the wolrd are getting to him. You can't cancel not606 accounts. You can't even deactivate them.

No nowt to do with com at all. Not like him to make everything his businesses and try and stir the pot <doh>

It's nowt more than two individual posters clashing with folk getting involved afterwards.

To be honest Funky, I think GSH was more upset with me and Safc83, and Comm was just suggesting he put us, or anyone he didn't like, on ignore, and trying to keep him on here.

It looked like a storm in a teacup to me, and Rooch too, going by what he said above.

The last thing me, Safc83 or almost everyone on here would want would be to lose a poster. I really hope GSH comes back but he did throw his toys out of the pram somewhat out of the blue.
