The only thing I take some consolation in, is the fact that Huw Jenkins has been on record for wanting to get the stadium expansion done, and it would seem to me that the purchase and expansion of the Liberty would be tide up in the take over, otherwise Huw will look like a right lemon, if after stating so many times that we need investment to develop the club on and off the field, and that never happens with this takeover, when the dust settles, so lets hope there are further press releases with meat on the bones..........<ok>

PS: 'Levien Was A Malignancy That Needed To Be Removed' 'Levien was a conniving weasel' 'Levien was a sniveling two-faced opportunist' 'Levien is lucky he was only fired' - That is how some viewed him at previous clubs?

Till its signed , it's just a piece of paper or a handshake .
If it does get signed.into law , and people are not informed of any of the details prior , We'll have got fuked and a few ex shareholders will have got rich , stepping over the reasons they invested in the club in the first place .

Dai I'm fully aware how and why the Trust was formed and yes you're correct in the limitation of the Trust in it's ability in voting on certain decisions, but the Trust are shareholders in their own right and are classed as a Swansea City Supporters Society Ltd with a share totalling 100,000 which when bought were valued at £1 per share between 2003 and 2004 .The Club is valued at at around 100 million , the Trust hold shares to the value of £20 million odd, of which they can sell to ANYONE or retain in the hope that the new owners will not carry out a new share issue which in effect will raise new funds but dilute the Trusts share and others value .

Mat trust me they cant sell to anyone as who will get the money ? It was made very clear from day one that the money each individual put in goes to the club under the heading the fans trust and that we will do that on the understanding that we are giving money and not loaning money to make a profit....once the trust ceases or not wanted anymore that money goes to the other share holders.

The problem / issue is that the Stadium is not owned yet, and the Ospreys have a lease for another 39/40 years (as do the Swans)

Can you tell me please what they are investing, if anyone knows, all I have heard is that the money talked about is going to existing shareholders, that isn't actually investing anything towards moving the club forward, just a few directors bank accounts.

Maybe, but his reputation among the Jack Army would be ruined, do you think he would do that? certainly not, so while this take over has been done in secret, which in my view is as a result of how the Jack Army and Trust responded so badly against the last bunch of Yanks, the board have rightly decided to keep things under wraps.

Regarding Levien I think his negative feedback has come from meddling in areas of club sport running, that he knew nothing about, and it's my view this take over would never happen unless Huw stayed in his position, doing what he does best, and he is in fairness to him highly respected now in the game, so I think most decisions this takeover group will make will be rubber stamped by Huw. Huw is clearly going to be the new mouthpiece of the Yanks, so it's not all bad...........<ok>

The trust payed 100,000 for their 20 % I think
That would make 1% worth 5 ,000 £ when the trust , or anybody at the time bought them, I assume
    1% now is worth 1,000,000.
Everyone did very well , unless my math is off , on their investment over 14 or so years .

Phil I hope you are right, but Jinks power will be completed watered down and will no doubt have to say and do as he is told. If he disagrees he will have no power to argue his point. I just see it as a tactic to appease the fans.

Lease or no lease, the Council are cash strapped, it is they who own the stadium, and they can do what they want, which is they want to sell, if the Ospreys decide not to play ball, they could very easily triple the rent etc, etc, many ways of getting a tenant out, when you need to sell property, even a stadium............<ok>

Trunds lets be honest, if it wasn't for Jinx, we would never be here, the other board members are planks, Huw is the football brain, and he could walk into any Premier league boardroom............<ok>

Does the council make money at the Liberty .
Besides football and rugby , is Liberty's time being used to make money through concerts and such .
Is it well run , marketed well for use .?

It is not commercially well run, but it is improving on the concert front in the last 12 months, Swansea City Council have a very poor track record, and the Stadium would double it's turnover with private enterprise..........<ok>
