The bottom line is to stay and further consolidate our position in the PL we need outside investment. The current board have stated they have taken the club as far as they can. If the trust, by increasing their share holding to 25%, prevents further investment, I am against them getting the extra shares. The comments being linked to the potential new investors sound promising We can only hope that what they are saying is true, as we as fans have no real control in the end..Ownership of clubs has changed dramatically in the last decade and we have to bite the bullet and accept we must do the same to remain competitive. Like others I am nervous as any one approaching a new era would be but we must look forward with patience and positive anticipation for the future.t

I am still waiting to hear what investment in the club they are going to make. This statement is a worry to me and I want these yanks nowhere near our club.

'In meetings with the shareholders in Swansea last week, Levien is understood to have emphasised their plan is to develop the club but has not made firm promises that the consortium will invest new money of their own for signing players or expanding the stadium..

It might be phil or will he just be a mouth piece for the Yanks, I feel they have kept him 1, to calm the waters during this takeover and 2, they need a fall guy when it goes tits up. HJ will have zero power when they take over and will have to do as he is told.

I'm not saying the whole take over is all bad , Jenkin's keeping his nose out of things and doing what he's told goes in the plus column for me .

I can't see why everybody's concerned I've seen nothing really detrimental yet. All the negative comments seem to be about all the money the present board are going to make. Well that's their business and nothing to do with us. Apart from the players and the Landore training ground we have no assets. The extra money from TV is mainly going to go on increased wages. Therefore if the new owners are going to make a,profit in the future to sell the club on they have got to invest in the infrastructure, players and management.although not silly money as some may be expecting.

It's just a matter of WHO has the shares for me . Now : people who were close to the Swans bought shares to save the club close to their heart . If the Americans take over those shares : who knows what they have in mind but I guarentee you one thing , they are thinking more of themselves than the club . Just the way it is

So what have they said about investment, I would love to know what money they are going to invest because I have heard nothing apart from there are no guarantee's of investment in playing staff, if there are no plans for that then why do we need them. I thought the whole point of so called investment is to improve a club on the field as it stands and from what has been said we will be in a no better position than we are now, other than the uncertainty of what they could do to the club.

The yanks have bought the club as an investment so they are committed to making the club profitable and they like the past and present board members who have all made a lot of money will want to do the same but on a bigger scale as they have the biggest stake in the club. They are not stupid and know they will have to spend money to make money and they know fully well for us to improve they will have to spend big and expand the liberty to do it.....I am expecting some exciting times coming our way over the next few years....

Liverpool fans thought Hicks and Gillett and Villa fans thought Learner were going to improve their clubs to and didn't they do well. If they are in it to make money just wait 1 season and they will have the 100m back that they paid for the club, from everything I have read on here from other posters, I simply do not trust them I am not against investment in the club, but there is a very poor history in the PL with American owners and that worries me.

I hope you are right and there is exciting times ahead, just not convinced.

The American investors have big shoes to fill , as we earned and prepare for our 6th season without their or anyone's help in the Premier
This is a pure cash out by some , probably induced by Mr. and Mrs Morgan in their " war " . Mr wants to keep his half , Mrs wants to sell hers . It's like a soap opera off the pitch these days

All other clubs with American investors are Irrelevant to us. Most investors are doing ok for themselves and their clubs and those few that haven't have either gambled and got it wrong or never did their homework.......one thing our investors have done is not rushed into it with their eyes shut. Over 6 months tells you they have done their homework and found that they have a great deal that with their input can make money....

I would hope they have learnt from the Learner experience and Liverpool are in a transition phase with a new manager who will hope to improve things next season and this season will probably finish top six and possibly win the FA Cup, not a bad season. There is a lot of information and misinformation but I'm sure I read somewhere that the initial investment into the club will be in the region of £47 million not amazing but sensible in line with our status.

Listen guys, what has attracted the Yanks is this, firstly we are a debt free, well run club with bags of potential, we are grossly under developed for this league, and with the obvious increase in TV revenues starting next season, they are getting in at the right time, on top of that our commercial department is big joke, that has massive potential for increased revenue, the stadium can be purchased and expanded to increase revenue substantially, when you look at these areas of increased revenue, then you can see why we are attractive for a take over, other than Jenkins the other shareholders are nothing short of schoolboys, they have failed to develop our club after 5 or 6 years of being at this level, because they do not have a clue, so I'm looking positive at all this change, we are so small , we need to grow , and we need investment and people who know how to develop the club to the next level............<ok>
