Probably even worse than ****ty sequels to be honest. Why spoil something that is perfect. Now let's try and think of a few disastrous remakes.

    1. Alfie (Jude Law ffs. In fact he would be number 5 in the most boring and terrible actors).

    2. The Italian Job (****in hell, we're talking Michael Caine).

    3. Night Of The Hunter (ffs De Niro the Mitchum one is a classic).

Some films should be left well alone as they are classics and cannot in any way be improved.

There's loads more but I can't think off-hand. Anymore for anymore?

I quite liked the Martin Clunes version.

Great shout. The original is a classic.

As soon as I heard the worst actor in the world was going to be in a remake there was no way I was going to go and see it. And from what I have been told it truly was utter pants.

    The original film was fantastic.

How dare they redo it with a plank of wood in the lead role.

The Desperate Hours , why touch the Bogart/Robinson original, really.

The War Of The Worlds - remade with a gay midget scientologist in the lead role

That really is deserving of the death penalty for the director responsible.

Why bother, surprised they've never tried to redo The Warriors.

The Thing - not a classic but I loved the original with Kurt Russell.

Total Recall - As an Arnie fan I was never going to warm to a remake.

That already is a remake, the original was a 50s black and white job <ok> so many remakes its impossible to keep up....in fact, what is the term for a film that has been made three times, a re-remake ?

The Out of towners, Steve Martin. I haven't seen it but it cannot possibly be an improvement of Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis.
