The goalkeeping saga is fast becoming an embarrassment. With three weeks to go to the start of the season those who run the club should get out from behind their wall of silence and explain just what is going on. For instance a number of questions come to mind.
1. If Lonnerghan is still a possibility for next season why has he not featured in any of the friendlies?
2. If the out of contract David Lucas is merely training with the club why wasn't the same arrangement used in the case of Ian Turner? It makes no sense for our main target to be out training with another club.
3. Further, if David Lucas is merely training with the club why play him in the Falkirk match? Surely it was more important to play one of the other keepers to give them experience since, if this saga carries on much longer one of them may well be forced to play in the first league match.
4. Do the club management really believe that David Lucas would be a good choice to solve the problem given his age and that he has been released by a couple of lower league clubs in the last few years?
