He was dropped for 37 year old Drobny last season and only got back in through injury. To be fair, he played really well in the second half of the season (apart from the last 3 games). He'll pull off great saves, but he'll drop some right clangers as well.
I'll be happy with this if it's part of a plan Mr Silvester to another team and Bailey out on loan to get regular first team experience to return as No1 for next year

I agree with your final conclusion. However you may be reading him to be worse than he is. They say he's a good shot stopper but his results are terrible. But then say the defence in front of him is terrible, so 1) his stats will be bad and 2) he will get plenty of chances to be a shot stopper Wait and see, how he does with a good defence in front of him will be the test
Exactly. And a test that Silvestri never got! I really do still rate him. Look at who he had in front of him. Green would have lasted 3 games with them in front of him. I'm actually wondering why we've brought a 'keeper in, tbh, and a little disappointed. PL clubs were supposed to be trying to entice Bailey Double-barrel away last close season. I'd love to see him getting a run.

Silvestri was a flapper.. He gave no confidence to those around him or those watching him from less tham 60m away. His all round game was poor and his distribution was crap and never got better. He should have been sold on or just sacked after his major part in lipstickgate.....
