The first half last night was as bad an atmosphere as we've had at the KC, though it was much better in the second.

Hardly surprising considering how bad that first half performance was and how poor the attendance was (not helped by Reading bringing almost no-one).

The club tried a couple more new things last, giant flags in front of the North and South and new big screen graphics with the players songs on them. No mass outrage this time, it's only really **** things like goal music that get people riled up.

The atmosphere was ****e before the gates dropped. The drop in attendance is an effect more than the cause of that as a fair few wandered off because of the **** match day experience. Splitting the noisy fans was a **** up.

A constant repetition of 'Hernandez Woooooooah' across the big screen looked a bit cheap imo.

I don't think it's a big deal one way or the other, it's not going to improve the atmosphere, nor is it going to piss anyone off. Same with the new giant flags behind the goals, or the goal lights (which don't really work, they're just a bit odd).

When Livermore scored last night they could have played 'desperado' <laugh>

What does living in Hull have to do with goal music?

What an utterly meaningless comment, especially after I'd already acknowledged it was clearly a cultural thing.

Hold on, they displayed the lyrics to the songs you sing for your players on the big screen?

If we did that you'd be laughing at us for it.

To be fair though, one difference is that our fans, at least most of them anyway, can read the words.

The words don't go across the screen like some sort of karaoke video, they've just taken the words and made them into flashy graphics, they're not there to sing along with. We did a similar thing last year with song words on banners in the local shopping centre,

Just in case anyone was wondering, there won't be any goal music if we score today.

Poor response to the survey apparently, we've got a lot of lazy-arsed fans, results will be published shortly.

    That's disappointing to hear.

I posted quite a bit in the extra comments.

They need to try anything to boost the atmosphere, frankly it's embarrasing when you can only hear the away support so I was actually pleased to see those things today and the kids enjoyed playing with them so that's good enough for me, we aren't all miserable old bastards who support City

I don't think people really mind the clappers, there's generally a better atmosphere when they're used.

I get it always feels different in the ground but in the stream me and me dad watched we sounded great. The commentator even mentioned how the fans were making great noise and getting behind us.

It might help if they sent the emails out in good time. I got mine 4 and a half hours after the deadline.
