Which one, Kentish Town or the National in Kilburn?

Kentish Town. The old Town and Country club. I think it's called the London Forum now, which is a ****ing boring name for it.

 

How much was your ticket? They've added an extra night at The Forum in Kentish Town, but they're £52, standing. I was a bit shocked by that.

 

Mine actually cost me nothing, my best mate got 2 for xmas of his wife (she's a good egg), but just looked and found some for 44..although there is only 13 left from 2000..

they stray cats one, cost 45.

 

Both tours pretty much sold out, so that’s a nice little pension bonus for both bands.

That said, on the Specials own website nearly all the dates are sold out, but there are still tickets being offered on other websites. ****ing scalpers I suppose.

Elvis Presley called Roy "the voice" ... Tom Petty from the Wilbury's days said "Roy would call me Tommy ... ain't nobody else I'd let call me Tommy" ... when I was a kid the first record I fell in love with was "the rainbow song" ... my mum had bought "It's Over" ... even now, hearing his voice is something really special ...

 

To me, the best voice ever...

Funnily enough our family always makes a toast to 'absent friends' at 12 o'clock on Xmas day ... I've recorded 'Roy Orbison And Friends' (Springsteen and Elvis Costello) and have been playing it tonight and that line in 'The Comedians' whilst raising my glass to Burly ... soft ****er ain't I? ...
