I doubt Everton will repeat a performance as good as that for a while mind. They were practically flawless for over an hour.

 

I cringed when I saw the original post, it was obviously just setting himself up for a fall. Have to admit Everton thoroughly deserved their win and Sunderland well, were pathetic really. Reminded me of the 3 years under Bruce that performance.

I'll be honest the only reason I didn't want Sunderland to go any further was so you didn't screw up our chances of Europe, if we had 5th place and a nailed on spot you could have gone all the way as far as was concerned. Nothing personal.

Not according to geographical people (geographies equivalent to historians - is it a geographian?!!) - in every country from wherever you are you travel up to the capital city! (**I know - complete bollocks but still!!)

I knew from the moment this post appeared that we'd get beat - our posters done it before and so have you guys (some of you - not all!) and this always happens!

Well done Everton and I will gladly take it on the chin - devastated to be out of the cup but now to try to finish 7th (part of me wants you guys to win at the weekend!!)

 

That's exactly why I don't do that type of thing, remember last season making a comment on Sunderland losing at home to Notts County, a couple of hours later we lost to Stevenage.

 

That was possibly the longest journey home ever.

When we got to the Tyne Bridge on the way back, there was somebody sitting on the edge as if he was going to jump off. He was surrounded by police officers and I think they eventually grabbed him and got him off.

Was past by then so not sure exactly what happened. I think one or two of us on the coach felt like doing the same thing.

 

It was probably the Newcastle result that made him feel like doing that.

 

That was the general consensus of opinion.

If that did happen i would be a nervous wreck, derbies are one thing but its only 3 points, FA Cup Final with the winner, winning the first trophy for 4 decades for either of us...

 

That would be way too much to take! It is not unthinkable that one of us will grace a cup final over the next few years looking at both clubs progression. Naturally I'd hope it would be us, but then again if we are gonna draw a super team again I'd rather not go through it. To be fair I don't think any of the top sides are as far ahead as Man U and Arsenal were at the time we faced them.
